Goddess4u: Their sun sign would be somewhat important to me as I am interested in astrology. However, if I was really, really interested in them I would draw up their birth chart and check things out thoroughly
So would I. And I read above that someone wanted to know how to get birth chart info, so here's a simple, free birth chart site that also offers composite charts (relationship between 2 people). Free charts don't go into as much detail as the ones you can buy, but you can also run the same chart through several free site and thereby accumulate some variety of data. It's fun!

when I was in college, I remember 100 of us in our class filled out a 10 page questionnaire to get a zodiac/horoscope reading. We all sent them in and it took two weeks to get them back.

The incompatibility was not just cos of the characters, but also it was clear, cos of zodiac signs.
