I don't think the results will give a true indication. Personally, I view profiles of forum participants when I'm logged off (I don't want everyone to know that I'm gawking at them).
I reckon a lot of others do the same.

Participating on the forums does generate more views to my profile, without a doubt, but does not neccesarily increase the mails I receive, which is a better test of the increase in interest.
I have found that just making a comment on the forums can increase the "views" but not neccessarily the mails, or posting a new photo, particularly if it's a little risque.
I have posted photos in the past that have made my WVM list increase by 40-50 views withing minutes, from people on the forums.
All that means to me is there are a lot of pervs out there just wanting a closer look, not neccessarily that are interested in me as a person...... God I feel used

The thing is that most people know that you can view others profiles by logging out,and nobody knows you have been looking
So most people might assume that if you are viewing them online you have a certain interest,unless you have clicked on their profile by mistake
It suggests this on the welcome message from CS,where they quote that the profile thing is the same as two people having a mutual attraction when they notice each other
Its a sort of ice breaker,and if someone e-mails you, so what, no harm done, and at some point it will work
Thats what this is all about,making the first move to find the right person

Don't be embarrassed.... I have actually written in my profile that I will not e-mail a women just because she has viewed my profile.
I realise she may just have stumbled across me or may be looking because of somethig I said on the forums.
She may just be using the seach engine and filtering through a whole load of guys, me being just one of them.
I rarely e-mail anyone who shows up on my WVM list and do ask in my profile that if she is interested, then maybe she could mail me first.
That way it saves a lot of wasted time for both of us and embarrassment.

I understand the logic in what you say, but what if the lady in question is interested, but expects you to make the first move ?
You may be creating a barrier, as i assume most women would be too embarrassed to e- mail you first
