I'd feel awkward if a date paid regardless of whose suggestion it was, but I've always been a bit like that. I know girls who will hit on guys all evening to get free drinks etc I just don't get it I think it lowers yourself I'd rather pay my piece. I'd let a guy buy a coffee that I can deal with, but I wouldnt expect them to pay the whole meal not unless we'd been together an age and it doesnt really matter whose money it is anyway. I guess it makes me feel like I'm being bought maybe I should try and change my ways!

This is a serious question, and emphasis need to be placed on it. Some people believed that the woman should pay for the first date while other believe it is the man's responsibility.
