Why come on a dating site and read all the filled out profiles, not fill out your own, and gripe when ppl don't show any interest. Beggars belief. There is nothing there to be interested in.

I have no photo, and I hope people will read my profile at least before judging on my non-photoness. It makes me sad when they pass me by...I mean, if they want a photo, they just have to ask!

Yes, I write them back that I'm not communicating with face less people.
It happened ONCE that ONE of them came back after having put up a picture for me and I was thrilled cos he was also the only one with an interesting profile and the pic

But... a significant number of trolls and very very unattractive people refrain from putting pics up.
If you're very attractive and frit of creeps - a long distant blurry shot of you in a big coat wearing sunglasses and a large hat might be the solution?

yea i meet one once..no photo..we told each other what we were driving,he knew what i looked like..so we meet for ice tea....he weighted 400 lbs,not really my cup of tea..

This is principally a written medium. My preference has always primarily been to connect with the person's 'mind', through their written word. If they can write and grab my interest, that's what matters to me. No point having a good looking guy in the pic, who can't spell, and writes crap.
I have some lovely photos of someone from here who has become a close friend, including their cat. I would not have them had I not responded just because he has no profile pic. So who the heck cares to start with, if what the person writes is something I want to respond to?
I would suggest that if no photos were ever to follow with someone after a couple of weeks or so of emailing, then consider ceasing communication. But I have not found that necessary.

I had a similar experience; she'd shrunk 6 inches, gained 10 years and 3 stone from her profile description, her hair was a different colour, here eyes were a different colour, she had a different job, drove a different car, lived in a different place (about 200 miles different) and - had the personality to match her lying. No thanks.
