The common theory is that man descended from apes. And, of course, many say that explains why men act like they do. So check out the following video and comment. Is this one of your distant cousins?
The last time that video was posted there was uproar, I suppose there will be again....... And yes Humankind did evolve from apes... both men and women

ladyfingers: That was pretty sick. Even frogs don't deserve to die like that.
Yep. And people have been known to do even worse. As far as I can tell, people and chimps are the only creatures on this planet twisted enough to think of things like this.

Hm, do you really think the chimp is twisted? That's assuming he has a conscience, which I doubt very much. This kind of thing happens in nature, animals kill animals in many different ways. It might sicken us to watch it, but we can't really apply our own ethic standards to it.

Earth is estimated to be about 4.5 billion years old... (could be right , could be wrong )
The earliest undeniable forms of life are present in rocks approximately 2.8 billion years old ( which is also questionable ) now, if you make a good equation including all species and sub species including the weather condition true time , and the random mistakes in the DNK ( mutation )

You probably mean that we evolved from a common ancestor.
Evolution doesn't suggest that we evolved from something that is here presently, but that we, and that which is also here, both evolved from something that used to be here before we ere.

I've heard some women claim that men never evolved at all.

I am unsure that we descended from apes per se but might have branched out from a variation of humanoid. I've not found nor read conclusive evidence that man did evolve from apes. Some "fun" reading on the subject was done by Piers Anthony in his Geodyssey series. Really well researched.
Polling something that is not a matter of opinion will not produce a meaningful result, except in terms of what people believe to be true. What actually is true is an unrelated matter.
