ooby_dooby: Do you find a problem with a person who desparately wants to be POTUS so that he/she can undo as many of the mistakes and errors that have been foisted on the people by corrupt politicians of the past?

Nope but I do find that anybody who says that the poor fellow 'inherited' this mess a rather facetious point as he fought tooth and nail to have the privilege of fixing it and, said the the other contenders could not and only he could do it properly.

That to me is not 'inheriting' anything but rather asking, and fighting for it.

ooby_dooby: Do you find a problem with a person who desparately wants to be POTUS so that he/she can undo as many of the mistakes and errors that have been foisted on the people by corrupt politicians of the past? Things like 50,000,000 (latest count)Americans with no access to healthcare, Getting the US out of a holy war in the middle east started by a born again zealot, restoring an economy virtually wiped out by the last administration, the Patriot Act, domestic spying without a court order, denial of due process etc etc.

BTW all you non Americans why don't you talk about your own wonderful government instead of meddling in ours?

One more thing, Obama will be nominated by the Democratic party for a second term, of that there is no doubt.

Ewww.......Love your style Ooby ! grin thumbs up

Sure. Make a forum and make it American only and I shall not post on it. In the meantime, don't like it, stay away. Pretty simple solution huh?

Interesting idea but I beat you to it. It so happens I posted a subject on the UK forums last year and you can see how a certain Englishman jumped down my throat. So it seems you people can dish it out but you can't take it. Shame really because it kinda stifles cross border dialogue.

BTW, this thread is about the American president, not the Canadian PM so why don't YOU stay away?

Sorry Ooby...I just had to make that part of your comment "RED" as a signal of hallucinate thinking!

On medication for that, are we?

Anyway...just commenting, as usual.

Hope your weekend coming up, is a productive and good one. Take care!

Thanks John! I'll be trying to put a carriage light by the front door this weekend which should be fun because the wall is brick. I hope you have a great weekend too.

I said make your own forum as this one is international. You don't own a thread, even if you start it. And, sorry to nit pick but I am not telling you to stay away so your comparisson with a Brit who 'jumped down your throat' is wrong and, given that I post facts to show you are wrong make my nationality irrelevent. That you concentrate on nationality rather than the facts and issues shows how weak your contention is.

Now, if your points are so weak that you have to whine and moan about how this is exclusive given that Obama is the president of the most powerful nation on earth and everything he does effects the earth then I suggest you stick with the fluff forums such as 'do you like farting' or whatever. This international politics forum is for everybody so grow up.

The last time we had an incumbent president eligible for re-election that was such an abject failure that he couldn't even win his own party's nomination was 1968 when LBJ got thrown under the bus by democrats (what a track record they've got, huh?).

So will Obama be the next super-loser to take his place in history as such a remarkable failure?[/quote HE WILL GET THE NOMINATION, THERE WON'T BE ANY SERIOUS CHALLENGER TO HIM IN THE PRIMARIES, MAYBE RUSS FEINGOLD, BUT HE COULDN'T KEEP HIS OWN SENATE SEAT,THE PARTY NEEDS TO UNITE BEHIND OBAMA, ALOT SMARTER THAN MOST POLITICIAN OR POILCY FOLKS AROUND, INHERITED AN HISTORICAL MESS, WHOEVER IS IN OFFICE THE PRESIDENCY IS A LIVE AND LEARNING PROCESS,FOR MOST, THOSE THAN CAN LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES AND EXPERIENCES, SO MUCH OF EVERYTHING IN 2012 WILL DEPEND ON THE ECONOMY, WHICH I DOUBT WILL BE VERY PROMISING ENOUGH,UNEPLOYMENT,HOUSING AND MORTGAGE AND CREDIT MARKETS,PROVIDING THERE ISN'T AOTHER CALAMITOUS DOMINO EFFECT GLOBAL FINANCIAL EVENT LIKE 2008, THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES DEFAULTING THREATS CONTINUE AND CAUSE EVENTUALLY AOTHER GLOBALLY IMPACTING FINANCIAL COLLAPSE.ALOT OF SUCH PHENOMENA IS OUT OF OBAMAS HANDS OR ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD BE IN THERE FOR THAT MATTER.
