Aries01: Hiya ... will you explain this concept of Astral Plane to me? I have heard bits about Astral projection and all that kind of stuff.. but I am not sure conceptually what an 'Astral Plane' represents..

if you believe we are the same source and energy (aka soul, vibration, spirit) and that we are all connected to the source of same, then it is possible to leave the physical and travel on this plane of energy. Scientifically the universe is loaded (even in a vacuum) with energy, plasma, neutrinos or otherwise. Like electricity travels a conduit, so can we. My take on the issue jmo.yay

StressFree: Maybe for you, but not for me....and yes very perplexing indeed. Yes, focus on the now because that is what we can control with your thoughts and actions....good or bad and in between.

I dont find it difficult either Stress Free - I experienced quite a bit of life through 'the doors of perception' in the sixties and seventies and so KNOW these things have a reality. The main stumbling block is in perceptions and conditioning - imo thumbs up

Just to add in my own words outside of theosophy, is that there exists an infinite amount of astral planes that are simultaneous with ours. It may be in the future, past, and a parallel lifetime.

A lot of those astral planes we go to is determined by our Karmic energy and vibration connected with our journey. So we are gravitated to an astral plane in line with our karmas that we need to work out.

It's like this, think of your TV, think of the channel you are tuned into. Meanwhile there are about 50 other channels showing programs. You can't see them, but they all exist. You can't see them because you are not tuned into those channels. You can only watch or experience the channel you are tuned into or watching.
And you are watching that particular channel for a reason.....catch my drift?

StressFree: Nature will act when the earth's balance is not in harmony according to indiginous beliefs.

You like to listen to the Doors or did you pull that out of our archives in a Carl Jung sense?

We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side

I listened to the doors and jumped out a few windows rolling on the floor laughing (low ones, because I have a fear of heights laugh) Have never read jung, though my impression is that if one wants information, one can get it from the 'source' in meditation or by request in thought. Can I claim my thoughts and their answers to be my own? I am a vessel of expression seeking its time. grin

Yes I do.. and I can even consider it as being possible once we can detach ourselves from our minds and ego.. which keep us trapped in this material world.. we seem to be only cognisent of that which we can experience with our senses and understand with our mind within a framework of 'logic' which is limited by our 'knowledge'

Thanks cheers

Yes you can. If you ask, seek and align yourself, it will come. It all there in the archives of the human experience in our universe....from the past and future which is the same if you discard time as a concept. Think as reference points.

hmm, free love - well, I didnt get too much of that myself other than exploring an amazing concept - I did think then though, as now, that people should have their own freedon to choose rather than be bound by victorian moralities thumbs up

If we either of us gave credence to religion, you are probably correct.

Trying to dissect spirituality is a little like putting the aurora borealis under a microscope. Lights and mirrors, with a hint of smoke on the sidelines.

There is eternal beauty in ambiguity and a freedom in not really caring what the answer is because I have no need to be right.

I have faith. Not in anything or anyone. It just is, and has been central to my being for a while. When I was a teenager I looked for something to attach the faith to. Now I just shrug and let it sustain me without defining me.

Usually keeps me out of arguments (not alwaysdevil ) lets me string the moments of my life like pearls.

rolling on the floor laughing a disturbance is a sign that your thoughts are unsound or challenged?

In any event say that something that you mean. It may not be that I'm not grasping, but that I am asking for clarification. It may seem antogonistic but it is not.peace

Yes, not mine but yours as I perceive it since you called me mr chopra. It seemed kinda sarcastic. So that was my reasoning.

My thoughts are stable and sound fyi....

I mean what I say and say what I mean....from my heart. Seek for clarification and it will come. I feel that I cannot clarify what it is that you want in a justifiable manner in a forum or with lengthy posts.

That is all Bnatural, I do really enjoy your thoughts and this discussion. You are a slippery one.cheers

One problem with this poll is that you've set it up as a definition: "God is __________"

God, for example, is a concept, a religious archetype, a myth, a being with certain characteristics, etc. (much as we'd define a unicorn, for instance).

I think what you meant was: "Do you believe that God is..."? At least I think that comes closer to what you're getting at, Al.

cheers and some would appreciate being aligned with mr chopra, not sarcasm but respect as it were ... hmmm I meant no offense, only that your words mirrored what I have read of his ... oh oh ... is that worse to be told? uh oh

slippery ... tongue perception is the reality we live in.

BTW I was appreciating your contributions as well. I just like to question where people are going or what they mean, listening as I do.

oh no!!! you could have told me this before the poll!! laugh actually I am more interested in what people "think", rather than believe Jeff. Since 'belief' is a close minded stance and 'thinking' has the ability to change stance in light of new input.
