With gas prices around the world increasing. President Obama does not want the US to be a gas exporting country. We can export the cars....that use the gas.....but exporting gas to help our BOP....does not seem to be much in the President's energy plan.
Bolivia...just had their fuel prices increase by 73%. Now have rioting in the street and calls for President Morales resignation.Now retiring Morales (a buddy of Hugo Chavez) does not bother me. But street riots....that turn violent should bother most.
The United States is in part a cause to this global fuel shortage....both by its consumption but also by its export. Or lack of export. Environmentalist have tied our production in Gulf, field expansion in Alaska, gasification plants development for coal all because they want to go green.
There is no economic justification that in a capitolistic world....yes world makes money from fuel contracts.....the United States should not be a energy exporting country.
Environmentalists need to realize....that OPEC is going to continue to the raise those prices. Driving the price here and abroad up. With it, situations like Bolivia unrest is going to occur.
Environmentalist preach green.....but they need to look around the global some...and take their eyes off the clouds...most everything that move....is done with hydro carbon fuel. They will never get the world to have a zero carbon foot print.
Boeing and Airbus are designing large aircraft that consume hydro carbon fuels.....that will be built in 2025 and after.
All the major maritime designers are working with hydro carbon powered vessel for the future. Though Volts and Leafs are here today....more makers of autos and trucks still power and plan to power with hydro carbons. Even high speed rail.....is powered by hydro carbon fuels.
But with out hydro carbon production, the world comes to a grinding halt. So taking the United States out of the fuel game....er.... hydro carbon production only will hurt the
global economy.
Not only is hydro carbon production needed for powering tomorrows cars, trucks, buses, plane, trains and vessels. It needed in the manufacture of them....because the light weight advanced materials and plastic that they will use....come from
