The debate now is the new Economic advisor that President Obama will bring in next year to replace Larry Summers. Will he or she be from academia? business? banking? I hear the former CEO of GM is still looking for a job.....Wagner might give him a piece of advice (and mind) on economics.....

Each one come from academia...and has ivy league creditials.....but is clueless to the real world. He/she shows President Obama charts and graphs--- economic theory, numbers and projected goals....
When it really is as simple.....as understanding that businesses are 'for profit' organizations....that they will do things that make them profits. And in President Obama economic reasoning....making profits.....just makes the wealthy wealthier.....and it makes a harder
task to redistribute their wealth for him.
So these economic advisors......all have to come to him with that in mind.....they cannot say....the US has a huge coal supply and can make coal into gas...and then use to power our cars. So investing into American gasification plants makes a great deal of economic sense. It would be profitable with the OPEC driving the price of gas to above $3 per gallon.
Rather they dance around the fuel issue...saying if we have a $41K Volt and can make/sell 20,000 of them a year.....it will only take 750 years to give all 150,000,000 driving Americans, a Volt to drive. Which our young President accepts and nods his head to. Thinking that he just saved the environment and kept Americans on the road.
With unemployment at near 10%, President Obama does not have 750 years to get it down.....he only has 2.....to the 2012.

Those coal gasification plants are environmental friendly. No risk to Gulf or offshore waters. Low emmissions.....a former CEO of a oil company is saying that in 2 years....Obama will have the gas prices up to $5 per gallon.
You can kiss his inflation programs good bye if that happens. Add a unemployment rate of 15 to 18%. Also he will be a one term President
