I dont drink or do drugs. The closest thing I take to drugs is a pepsi once in a while, the cafeen wires me but good.

It does amaze me how many people I have met, men and women who seem to think it is a fault that I dont drink. I would think a lady would like a guy who does not drink as she would know she always has a safe ride home. I still like to go out, dance, listen to music, all the same stuff, I just do it with out chemicles. Why do ladies who drink see that as such a turnoff?

My only vice ( ok Pc games too ), Mountain Dew...and it's not even for the caffeine.

I have had Fibromyalgia for the last 11 years. I could have tried every pain med, known to man, but I choose not to. Over coming pain, finding other means to prevent it and finding faith in yourself in learning to deal with it, builds strength and character.

So sad people find they can't live in the real world...very, very cowardly.

There are times a person needs a pain med for a time but for the most part I agree with you. I also admire you for your self control. That is a strength many people are lacking these days.

True but there is a differance between having a few drinks on the weekend or a glass of wine with dinner and getting plasterd every chance you get or getting stoned with a variety of chemicals to deal with lifes ups and downs.

Yes I agree, when meds are needed and if they work, ( what I did try didn't work for me at all ) yes...but not for recreation as so many do now.

I'm not a big drinker, I never have a drop of alcohol monday to friday. Only one night a week I have a few drinks, 3 or 4 thats all

scoutmaster: Ya I suppose your right, I dont drink at all but I have no problem whith someone who does occasionaly. I also work with people who have drank so much they caused brain damage or drove drunk and the resulting head injury put them under my care for the rest of there life. moderation I say and use common sence about it.

Because those people usualy end up brain damaged and worse yet often take an innocent bystandar with them. These are the people who give me job security but Id rather be unemployed than see more and more people end up that way.
