Paldi5: The logic is good except for one thing Al said which trumps it.

He said Obama has lowered the bar. He also could have talked about how others raised or lowered it... the movie actor Ronnie Reagan or the first Catholic, Kennedy or the not too brillient pot smoker Bush.

Presidential qualifications change, and success and failure of previous Presidents has an influence. Good Presidents can raise the bar of "qualifications" for those that follow and bad ones lower it. At present, if someone like Palin can be considered seriously as a potential candidate, the bar is pretty low. Thank Bush Jr. for that.

I think you are right about the way failure in office influences the chances of an incumbant winning and in agreement with Al on that point too. You two are splitting hair.

Sorry Paldi...once again your dyslexia kicks in...I am not talking about Trumps chances for a win...I am talking about his qualifications to BE president....fortunately or unfortunately, Obama has nothing to do with that.....doh doh

I think it's a sign he'd like to make up. Not being rude at all.

As far as questioning your position on Trump...

If I was a young woman who was abandoned by my husband shortly after I gave birth and left to raise our child alone, through thick and thin without help from the child's father, and no contribution for the child's future I would be pretty down on anyone running for office who I suspect did the same thing or similar no matter if he was the best qualified candidate in the entire world for the job. Not that anything like that happened to you. I don't know your story. It's common to find women with similar past experiences on a dating site. So I was probing a little bit your past to help determine if that was why you heap so much scorn on the man. Sue me.

The logic has been explained to you repeatedly. I often wonder if you are illiterate. Not illiterate as an insult (thought I don't know how that can otherwise be taken), but seriously unable to read or understand what you read, or understand what people say when they say it.

So you're saying Bush was near the bottom in the qualifications category and Obama is even lower.

No. Placing something in quotation marks designates that it is something that was said earlier. Not parroting as you put it but rather, quoting you as the words seemed rather well suited to the situation as they do now as well.

"I am sorry if it is beyond your intellectual ability to grasp the logic of this concept"

Speaking of inadequacies, now that I've destroyed all of your simple contentions about why Trump should not run, have you anything other then personal slights, or is this the end of the road for on topic discussion?confused

I find it somewhat difficult to take anybody seriously who, after 24 pages has yet to post anything on topic. You should just stick to the parties with your arguing buddy, I mean, ten thousand posts, all of them just irrelevant shtick and insults....
