Friends? Isn't that one of the problems with the current leadership is that he is trying so hard to make everybody a freind in a world of allies and enemies. After all, his '08 World Apology tour certainly didn't go over too well.

leigh2154:
He said in an interview last week, regardless of what I decide to do, I can't begin to campaign until I finish filming The Apprentice...we have about six months to go!! A TV reality show takes presidence over running a Nation...that's a good one!!

I understand he makes something like three million a show and is under contract so, would probably have to pay out tens of millions if not more if he cancels.

And also, the argument would then be about how he ran out like Palin did when she quit as governor.

leigh2154: I doubt it...another problem "The Donald" faces is he is AGAINST gay marriage....that will not sit well with many.....he's OK with multiple marriages, just not gay marriages...bigot anyone??

Obama is as well and it didn't hurt his chances for election.

if it came down to those two i'de have to think that this country does'nt have a snow balls chance in hell...much in the same way i felt when obama ran against
mc cain....although mc cain would be better by leaps and bounds than trump but, that is'nt saying much either...mc cain came off like a used car salesman...in my humble opinion...

Student loans. Don't worry eventually they can be paid off. Scholarships and grants are better if you can qualify, or find a college one can afford. Hopefully the education she borrowed to get will give her the standing she needs to pay off those loans. Sorry her daddy left without giving her what assistance she needed to get a proper education. I hope your experience with him isn't clouding your opinion of the 3-times divorced Trump.

I do know he gets paid three million per episode and the contract is up in June. Why does he need to break it. And yes, it's his show but it's on NBC. Sort of like Simon owning the Starsearch or whatever but is under contract.
Many here ran out on marriages yet view themselves as viable and, restructuring his various companies while allowing two of them to go bankrupt in order to secure financing for the others is a legal accepted business strategy. And once again, what is the hurry about quitting a show that only has a couple of months left?
He did.
They do though for two reasons - one is if Obama got away with it the bar has been set and two; Obama is the guy Trump will eventually have to beat if he runs and is accepted.

Obama's failures have EVERYTHING to do with the outcome of the 2012 bid for President...Obama's failures have NOTHING to do with Trump's qualifications to be President...why are you having such as hard time with this Al..it is very simple logic...sigh

Why? Because Obama has proven himself to be less than honest...gays who voted for him in 2008, in spite of his stand on gay marriage, will not repeat their vote in 2012.....Straights, like myself, who see nothing wrong with it and am in favor of it, will not vote for him either....

No Albert, Obama's failures as president do not influence Trumps qualifications to be President...his failures ONLY influence Trumps chances of winning....I have explained this to you several times...I am not going to explain it again...I am sorry if it is beyond your intellectual ability to grasp the logic of this concept.....roll eyes

It does though. A community organizer was not qualified to be president yet in this day and age the voting public believes it does. Hence, Trump is qualified as he fits this new profile of none traditional candidates running for office.

Jesus Paldi...getting a little personal aren't you!! Her daddy never "left" her as you put it, they have a close relationship...as far as her loans...it really wasn't her daddy's responsibility since she began attending college when she was 34......and she did have scholarships...she did not, however, have a full ride.....

The logic is good except for one thing Al said which trumps it.

He said Obama has lowered the bar. He also could have talked about how others raised or lowered it... the movie actor Ronnie Reagan or the first Catholic, Kennedy or the not too brillient pot smoker Bush.

Presidential qualifications change, and success and failure of previous Presidents has an influence. Good Presidents can raise the bar of "qualifications" for those that follow and bad ones lower it. At present, if someone like Palin can be considered seriously as a potential candidate, the bar is pretty low. Thank Bush Jr. for that.

I think you are right about the way failure in office influences the chances of an incumbant winning and in agreement with Al on that point too. You two are splitting hair.conversing
