Friends? Isn't that one of the problems with the current leadership is that he is trying so hard to make everybody a freind in a world of allies and enemies. After all, his '08 World Apology tour certainly didn't go over too well.



I understand he makes something like three million a show and is under contract so, would probably have to pay out tens of millions if not more if he cancels.

And also, the argument would then be about how he ran out like Palin did when she quit as governor.



Obama is as well and it didn't hurt his chances for election.

Student loans. Don't worry eventually they can be paid off. Scholarships and grants are better if you can qualify, or find a college one can afford. Hopefully the education she borrowed to get will give her the standing she needs to pay off those loans. Sorry her daddy left without giving her what assistance she needed to get a proper education. I hope your experience with him isn't clouding your opinion of the 3-times divorced Trump.

The logic is good except for one thing Al said which trumps it.

He said Obama has lowered the bar. He also could have talked about how others raised or lowered it... the movie actor Ronnie Reagan or the first Catholic, Kennedy or the not too brillient pot smoker Bush.

Presidential qualifications change, and success and failure of previous Presidents has an influence. Good Presidents can raise the bar of "qualifications" for those that follow and bad ones lower it. At present, if someone like Palin can be considered seriously as a potential candidate, the bar is pretty low. Thank Bush Jr. for that.

I think you are right about the way failure in office influences the chances of an incumbant winning and in agreement with Al on that point too. You two are splitting hair.
