Albertaghost: Easy. If Obama is deemed qualoified then certainoly Trump is by a long shot.
Certainly he entered his fathers business but that was in '68 and he was no billionaire then but is now.

But what I am saying Al is Obama was never deemed qualified by me....I am only speaking for myself when I say Trump would make a terrible president...Obama has nothing to do with that feeling..

You obviously can't read polls. if 65% voted NO it means he will be president? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! I rest my case!

Government is created "by the people"...

Business can cut jobs, government can't fire the homeless or lay off the elderly......

thank you.

Albertaghost says Trump will make money but we are talking about government here not a business.

So government is not responsible for growing the economy by providing opportunities and removing obstacles to the growth of private industry?

leigh2154: Government is not about management, marketing, and the bottom line....

It's not? Oh, I see, to you, it's about just spending until there is no money left and you have to borrow off other countries until your money is worthless.

Nope. More like mismanagement and, you need a good manager it seems.

leigh2154: Government does not sell it's services for profit to see how big it can grow...

No but it removes obstacles to profitable trade which grows the economy, helping industry rather than destroying it by providing loans to unions who will strangle the industry.

thumbs up

And when mismanaged, government is broke and has to 'lay them off' sooner or later. Hence, the need for a business savvy individual rather than a goon who does nothing but dole out borrowed money until there is nothing left to even start again.

(UNITED STATES ONLY) Do you think that Obama will get re-elected?

68% no

32% yes

So, sixty eight percent feel Obama will not be reelected and thirty two believe that yes, he will.

On the other hand, in this thread, thirty five percent will vote for trump sixty five will not.

No matter which way you read it, three percent more people believe that Trump will win and, have stated they will vote that way.

And yes, I agree, until you can read numbers right in front of you there is no point in continuing this discussion.

I said he knew how to make money. That requires proper allocation of strategic assets, proper management, supervision, budget restraint, familiarity with finance and most of all - knowing how to deal with people.

Here, what I said; ""I would say you need somebody who knows about making money rather than a community organizer who only knows how to spend it. ""

It is a given that Obama will be running for president and subsequently, against Trump if those cards fall into place.

Hence, he has much to do with this thread.professor

Other than China and the 25% tax on trade and OPEC, what are some other reason you think Trump would be a good choice Al?

Good choice? Hate to be cagey but i would say more like a 'viable candidate with some different ideas' that should be looked at a bit more.

He wants to change the tax code to force companies that pay zero tax to begin to ante up and reduce others.

The Iraqi strategy is another one that would tie in with the OPEC and China strategy. Recouping everything expended in Iraq to date as well as placing a leash on OPEC. China, needing oil to move forward would be at their mercy, not the US. And, as part and parcel of trade with China, oil can be used as leverage. Since the US cannot use the oil they gain from this strategy they would be free to sell, give away or use as bribes to any country they wished for whatever reward they deemed appropriate as part of their foreign policy.

A double edged sword as the loser would always be OPEC. If they don't clamp down on their terrorists, the US floods the market with Iraqi oil. If they behave, the US cuts back.

Nice little thing to have in your back pocket and, keeps Iran out of the picture for a bit longer.

Anyhow, those are bold strategies and, just things he threw out as it is unknown if they would work or not or, even if he is serious as they only came out in remarks he gave in an interview.

As well, a flood of cheap oil in the US would be a boon for industry there.""

WHAT CONCERNS ME ABOUT TRUMP.......This is in addition to his hair, his marriage record, his adulterous relationship, and his total lack of experience.....

If Trump fails to win the GOP, he has indicated he will run as an Independent...In an earlier interview, when asked this question, his response was..."I am a Republican, I will run as a Republican"....Already changing his mind, his prerogative????, he now says the opposite...
How would this affect the Republican's chances of winning in 2012?.....NEGATIVELY !!!...
Trump said it does not concern him that running as an Independent would probably enable Obama to be re-elected by taking votes away from whoever is the Republican candidate...He made it clear that he believes an Independent can win in todays political climate...

Trump on Libya...I would have only intervened if "we take the oil"........

Trump on Iraq..."I would take the oil"...Meaning he would keep our troops in Iraq and prevent Iran from taking over Iraq and it's oil fields.....at any cost.....

By his own admission, Trump knows running as an Independent could hurt the GOP chances in 2012..
He doesn't care......a dangerous, overbearing loudmouth man who is only "ego" driven.....
