Shucks Luke, that's one less person in the world to keep you on the up and ok... if its any consolation, you've still got me
Maybe follow in Tony's footprints, look at all the friends he had LOL you may even find yourself a girlfriend in the process of it all, but hopefully not as ugly as the one he had
Women love babies and what girl who ever had a doll, grew up not wanting a real life living one. Men on the other hand want babies and family for another reason entirely... Some men's only reason for having a family is so they will be there caring and looking after them in their later years ....maybe ya man was that kind of a man/father
MB But just to pick up on at what cost in the long.
Years ago after the last of my aunts five, ventured out and left home, she went through an awful phase of loneliness, felt useless no longer needed... THE emptyNEST syndrome can be difficult for some mothers, more so some than others, after failing her struggles to come through the blues, her friend told her how " happy tablets" had done wonders for her, so maybe she should go speak to her doctor.
She had no problem when first prescribed them, likeso when he upped her dose, tripled it changed it, tried a different drug instead. To cut a long miserable story short, she ended up so many times in the psychiatric ward.
When her stays there were becoming one day too many, the professionals took it upon themselves to tell her there is absolutely nothing wrong with her mentally, everything was all in her head. They notified her doctor suggesting he stops supplying the pills, which he did but worse... they also told her family she was an attention seeker, and with that her family turned against her for putting them through all the stress and misery worrying about her, and all for nothing.
April 2019 being in another dark place yet again, she returned back to the hospital crying pleading with them to take her in, that she didn't feel safe, felt very close to ending it all. They depressed head these people created was turned away, and instead of any compassion of any sort for my aunt, they told her to go home and pull up her socks. She went home as ordered but rather then full filling their second command, she filled her pockets of stones instead, threw herself into the sea.
All the locals knew why this had happened yet when it broke on the news/ media.... nowhere was it mentioned woman takes her own life after being refused and turned away from the hospital after seeking assistance for mental/ suicidal issues, instead it was reported elderly woman slips on rocks and drowns.
Apologies for going on with a bit of a rant here but when you mention at what price, it brings me right back to her and how the professionals/ society let her down... but no-one more so then her family, they should of known her better than take the word of overpaid doctors/shrinks or what ever it is, they call themselves.
Call me a witch but I get some satisfaction when her family now suffer with the guilt for letting her down... and so they should
I wouldn't opt for those prime times as for been the best years... for me, I'd rather never forget how it felt being 16/17, young and stupid without a care in the world. But I suppose each to our own, Butch
My sons medication effected his libido as well.... " I wonder do all such meds, have that same effect" it was when an elderly woman in family died, he was completely heartbroken yet couldn't feel the loss let alone shed a tear... that's when he had enough of the meds freezing his emotions. he was lucky the book helped him take back control and I am well aware not everyone is and can be as fortunate as him... thanks for the advice about a healthy diet, I'll pass it on
You've been through the mill and I'm delighted you finally feel you've come out the better side of it all, I can only but imagine all the sacrifices you must of made, to of had I can understand why you say some view mental illness in a negative light but that's humane behaviour for you, sometimes we don't care to understand the difficulties of others until it's on our own front door.
Having said that, not all are guilty of that same trait .... and it's a pity for some suffers, they don't remember that more often.
Tah kindly for your comments MB and may you continue on being as successful as you've become.
Getting caught up in replying to others... my apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
Life can be shit, depressing, sometimes its a task not to be pissed off as often... but being totally fed up is not quiet the same as someone suffering with depression, having said that... when having the blues tends to linger, I know depression can set in.
I agree with your comment and no more than it should be used as an excuse, nor either should it be a reason for GP's to hand out " happy tablets" as quickly as some do.
Silver is serving time in a prison and not in an institute for mental criminals where he should be with his illness treated for, which neither says alot for his lawyer. he's due for parole in 30yrs.
If I'm wrong about anything else, feel obliged to put me right
Bedtime for me Words" so Oíche Mhaith from me to you
I'm on my laptop so the icons are along side on the right of the comment box... I just click in on which ever and up there her pops in along side the comment.
On the phone, its different, there below... same procedure but I'm not sure.
Maybe someone helpful will come along and explain the proper know how.
I thought I had, apologies if I overlooked that matter.
Mental illness just does not effect the patient themselves .... it effects loved ones also and their struggles to help and support them, and those who can't and why.
Are you a judge fan? I get the feeling you don't like me referring to them as crooked.
*I have the same source the courts had when they said the killing was personal and NOT related to mental issues.
Why do you want to know, would it make a difference to the sentencing of Stephen Silver? actually that's a stupid question.... it would be MASSIVE, however would they handle it, or cover it up in other words."
The courts may have been referring to the fact they felt it was not related to Silver's mental illness. He was on trial. I do not know legally if Horkan's state would have been relevant.
I cannot see journalists don't know and i cannot see all of them covering it up if it was relevant to the case.
Why I want to know is I might look into it or ask someone to. You can pm me any more you know if you want.
As to making a difference I'm sure Silver's defence know and if it it relevant will appeal. I would say they may appeal anyway.
There are rules around court and what evidence is allowed. It does not necessarily mean the judge is corrupt
You're a journalist oh hell .....or are you? nothing personal but not my favourite type of people either.
If and when a judge allows others ridiculous accusations and does not direct the jury to dismiss certain said things ... in my eyes, there you have a crooked judge.
Right you are, I kind of guessed you weren't referring to the same case.
I take it then, like me, you have no knowledge of guns and bullets either?
I have the same source the courts had when they said the killing was personal and NOT related to mental issues.
Why do you want to know, would it make a difference to the sentencing of Stephen Silver? actually that's a stupid question.... it would be MASSIVE, however would they handle it, or cover it up in other words.
Hi there WORDS and welcome to the blogs thanks for that input even if its confused me a little....
Don't know who is the cop you are referring to that kicked the shit out of his girlfriend, but there are good and bad in them and they too should be exposed just as quickly as some are awarded a medal.
She's not the first crooked judge in Ireland, and she won't be the last either.
Is there a reason why bipolar suffers come off their meds? there seems to be so many these days so there must be a reason, side effects or whatever, I don't know... but it would be interesting to know why the meds work perfectly for some but unfortunately not for all.
Assuming you know that is?
When my son was in his early 20's he suffered server anxiety attacks, he was put on medication which seemed to of brought his condition under control until after an X amount of time when he decided the side effects weren't worth it. he quit them came straight off them which was dangerous but that's what he done, got his head in certain books which lead him to learn how to control his condition himself, thankfully he hasn't looked back since... well' almost that is.
We can't blame greed and folly for everything.... we've all indulged in making life easier for ourselves now we're paying the price for it. or perhaps you don't think it was worth it... I do besides, planet earth is designed to end someday.
Forget about being a guardian of anything.... live it up whilst you can and stop fretting about what you can't control
RE: We are The Xennials
Maybe we're not all meant to get a long with each other because if we were....what's with the different colours, language culture and so on.
But man has pushed us living together, possibly going against the holy ones creation
In my opinion, we should of stuck with Gods plan
