Right you are Merlot, I could spend a few days with the daughters, which is in the plans for pretty soon but the thing is, I had someone coming to finally lay my crazy paving, but over those days, all it done was rained rained and more rain again.... the exact same thing happened last year

Anyways hopefully it will clear in a day or two allowing calm sailing for a family get together..

I have two daughters who both live near Dublin and whilst I'm rushing about trying to cover up my patio furniture and bits, their busy taking theirs out. East and south mostly always get it best but here in the west northwest included, always get it worst... We have either a 12 or 24 hrs rain warning fall for the west today, heaviest down pours, need I say it, Galway..

How lucky are you not living in the wrong side of Ireland....
Think I'll pack up the broom and fly east.

I never knew that when all else fails, comfort can be found remembering how good it felt, having your arms around someone, if I had known that then... I'd of hugged you more

Some may Ms Jones, "hate ireland that is" because true enough it is very quickly becoming a not so nice place to live, yet outsides are stepping on each other to get in.... if things don't change and soon improve, we'll nearly be as bad and have the same problems America have.

I do get what you are saying...
a young couple planning a family ideally look for a big house/home. later years when it's become an emptyNEST, down sizing could be more ideal, more realistic.

The " strain" I also understand but if you really like someone, what does it matter ... things change for better for worse but only you know if what makes you happy, is enough to keep you happy.

The way I see it is if you're not with someone you're happy to jump the bones of, you'll only end up fantasizing about burying his bones in the back garden instead, or worse..... what if the real man himself came along and you're not free to have him.
