Some people always seems to be missing the point somehow - sometimes because of the language barrier, and other times because they just don´t want to see the written word and interpret it in their own way.
How I understand it, your blog is to show how religious beliefs have been corrupting the world throughout millennia.
In which case, Snooky not being a "religious" person - and neither am I - she should then understand that you are in no way imposing your beliefs on anybody, but just point out some obvious facts.
How strange you writing this blog when I was thinking the same about an ex.
As Serene says: "I had a 4 year on/off, roller-coaster ride of a relationship with a man back in my early forties. It was breathtaking, bewildering, exciting, maddening and intoxicating .. I was exhausted when I ended it."
In my case it was almost 3 years ago and our paths crossed again a couple of weeks ago. Apparently he has just ended a platonic relationship and would like to make up with me but... I have moved on since my illness (after the break up) and my accident last year, and I don´t have the feelings and emotional attachment I had for him then.
However, as you say Sola, I feel now he is more like a brother who I can discuss and share things with and we happen to enjoy each other´s company - in small doses.
Hola guapa! Hate is a very strong word and I have never hated people.
For me, Love may have turned to "Dislike" or even "Despise" at times, but never to hate, even if I had many reasons to hate that person, because I always forgive, accept and move on.
Women usually like to hear that you have read their profile and there's something special in it that attracted you in the first place...something you can resonate with ?
Anyway..I do and the first contact is the most important for me to want to respond. I need something which can make me say wowww! ..I like that man!
Do you have any idea of what's going on when reading men's comments ?
Personally considering this is a dating site after all I wouldn't want to date any of the men bloggers here with the exception of a couple who happen to live too far away.
I was in a LDR for 2 years and believe me it was just too frustrating. You build up hopes to meet..form some emotional attachments as you get to know each other more and more each day but it seldom gets any further than that.
What's in the virtual world will stay there as it's all an illusion that your avatar has created.
You ask what it takes to make it real? ..Guts!! And money ...to meet as soon as you can.
Thanks for the compliment about the pic. I took it today as someone wanted a recent one and a bit closer. Now he wants to come even closer and meet me personally to see if I'm real.
Ok. Now the Birthday Girl has to get her beauty sleep as I was awaken at the crack of dawn with the first blog.
Thanks to all of you for your comments and bringing a bit of fun this evening. I really appreciate.
Thanks to our blogger, miss Crazy for having provided this entertainment as there wasn´t much on TV tonight anyway. Thanks to all here crazy ways and her wonderful ideas and surprises.
RE: Gods and Goddesses
Thanks for clearing that up Socrates. Some people always seems to be missing the point somehow - sometimes because of the language barrier, and other times because they just don´t want to see the written word and interpret it in their own way.
