Wrong breed? hmmmm.... yep! I was going to write a blog about "wrong breeds, wrong owners"...

I was a dog trainer for many years and it was not only the dogs that needeed to be trained and educated, but mostly the owners!

In the winter? the coldest months being January/February... about +15C at midday and +7C at night.

In November & December we still get temperatures in the 23C at midday and you can still swim in the sea - without a wetsuit!

In my case - and many other spiritual people - I do not follow any leaders nor dogmas and I am a free spirit.

This quote from Rumi is also one of my favourites.

Most of people I have met on CS so far have been in this "damaged goods" category.

Men who have shown some interest in me and I was also interested in meeting, they turned out to be still living in the past and still feeling a lot of anger and resentment for their ex.

I have also noticed that some seem to take some pride in writing in their profile "just recovering from a relationship"!

Are they looking for some "rescuers"? Because this is what they will attract.

Anyway Callio, I prefer to stick to my horses and dogs are they are the most loyal and do not let me down.
They might also have their past traumas, but they do not download them onto others and are willing to give you some genuine unconditional love..

I can assure you Nanette, that you are never too old for anything! This is just an excuse, as far as I am concerned.
Myself, I came to Spain at the age of 54, and I started my own business just for something to do and to help making ends meet.

Then I closed the business after 3 years as I realised this wasn´t me at all... I was just on the wrong path..

Like you, I am an animal lover so I decided to work with animals - first as a dog trainer because that´s what I did before I came here, as a hobby.
Then I got into horses only recently and started to work for a horse rescue foundation about 3 months ago.
Unfortunately, their ways to work with animals do not correspond to mine!

So, I thought that the only way to do what I really want is to have my own centre... a healing centre with horses roaming free and where I could use all my skills and knowledge.

Then, someone came on my path... a lovely lady who has the same vision as I have... and is at present buying some land around here. We have then decided to do this as a joint effort.
I don´t have the money to go into partnership, but I can help in many ways...

Therefore Nanette, NO, you are not too old. Just follow your heart and see what it tells you and where it leads you...

I don´t take any of those vaccinations when there is an epidemy - not even for the flu! And I know many people here who also do not.

I have a perfectly efficient "anti-virus" immune system, and keep it maintained with a dose of vitamin C every day and also a sensible diet, and do not try to kill it with medications... and I can´t remember last time I had any infection???

I agree entirely with all that as this is what I do + other techniques to get over people and any emotional attachments.

You just cannot move on and meet someone new if you are still stuck in the past and haven´t cut those emotional cords.
Another man, at this stage of the game, would only be a "rebound" and used as a substitute!

We must first close a door before opening another. Heal the wounds of the heart before someone new can come into our life.

Sorry Luke, I don´t agree with that one.
The fear of heights "acrophobia",
fear of darkness "nyctophobia",
fear of water "aquaphobia"....
These are not "man made" fears..

They all come from past traumas, either in this life, or in previous past lives.
I happen to deal with people who have these phobias.

I´m afraid many have those fears...?

But, if we fear being emotionally attached to someone, we´ll never have any friends for fear of "losing" them?

In this case, the fear becomes: "Fear of loss".

Our greatest fear is the "Death of the Ego".

Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger and is needed for survival.

Phobias are also fears but usually coming from a past trauma - in this life, or past lives.

However, all the other fears are "unecessary" and must be overcome in order to let love flow and for us to be "happy"
