Cailin, lovely heartfelt blog. I have a list of 32 requirements - yes, I've counted them!! I might make them the subject of a blog one day....when I'm feeling as brave as you.
Yes, Scouse, I have a problem with greed and corruption, too. But it's not the preserve of educated women - educated men, and indeed, uneducated men and women may be corrupt and greedy, too.
Hi SecretLove Yes love exists. See every new experience, good or bad, as a step towards finding love, and towards knowing what and who it is you really want. There are a lot of toads out there, but also many princes. Enjoy learning, and when you get bitten - bite back!
Hi Fotinia I'm glad you are who you are, too! We need only change for ourselves - to change for others, or try to change others is futile and just plain wrong.
Oh My! Such sweet words to kindle my affections, aJester. I am all a-quiver. Pray do not stop, for I grow weak with longing.......But before you carry me away on your swift wings of desire: Just how many carats are we talking about?:
I'm afraid your advice would not work on me...I prefer doing my shoe-shopping alone and I have my own cash, thank you very much. Now, if we were talking diamonds.....
Sit on the couch, put your feet up and savour every single delicious morsel. Guilt is a waste of energy, especially where chocolates are concerned. Enjoy!
I've trekked through a desert, played footsie with a crocodile, bungied from a mountain, crashed a microlight, been teargassed, and other such tame things, but the one thing I've never been able to do is face down a spider without yelling for help.....
Freedom: I have dated and in fact married a shorter man. It didn't work out but that was to do with things other than height. I've always had to take care of myself, never really had anyone to protect me, so I guess my attraction to tall men is a basic, emotional, and not intellectual, need to feel protected, cherished - a man who can metaphorically carry me, rather than I carry him - which seems to have been my lot in the past.
Good question Freedom. At first sight I tend to prefer men taller than me...which, since I'm only 5"3 leaves most men in the running. But once we start talking, height, like looks becomes irrelevant. I suppose for me, tall men make me feel more protected, more feminine.
Hi Dedovix Are my blogs that confusing? Hm, I guess they do have a little pompous verbosity about them. Sorry, used to academic writing. Will try harder in the future to make them less of and and more of
Hi Non, Bogart Non, you may be right, self-awareness is lacking in both men and women who make such gender bashing comments. And if so, their response will be merely more of the same. Bogart: I am angry at the manner in which stereotypes still reign in the thoughts of both men and women. Perhaps I'll write from the opposite perspective next...
Hey Nadia! If there is a God, she certainly has better things to do than manage our love life. As for drama - never known a Capetonian be anything but mellow..
RE: Romantic Mundanity...(a word? lol)
Yes Dedovix. Refer to my previous blog....
