The Documentary (the producers term) is quite new, was passed along to me quite recently & I've not delved deeply into it.
My initial reactions are similar to yours.

Most notably ...

Based upon info in the film, had the CCP used it as a weapon, the best place to have it "originate" would've been in Southern China, rather than virtually on the doorstep of their bio-lab.
That would be much more consistent with an unintentional release.

WHY would China (and other countries) maintain such labs & conduct such research?
The easy answer would be to avoid being caught off guard should some OTHER country develop a Bio-Weapon in a Bio Arms Race.

It's notable at the end of the film, other countries are looking into the possibility of holding the PRC legally responsible.



Which raises the question --
Might the virus be a WESTERN Bio-Weapon used to bring down the CCP?

The "Wuhan Coronavirus Documentary" is quite new & was passed along to me just recently.
The 1st 40 minutes presents evidence the virus is Bio-Engineered.
The last 10 - 15 minutes presents evidence it was intentionally used as a Bio-Weapon.
In either instance, it suggests WHO has covered CCP's neglect/malice.

Critiquing the film very briefly, I'm of the opinion that the case that the virus was man made & "escaped" is stronger than that It was used intentionally.
(Simply -- If it had been used as a weapon, it would've 1st showed up in South China rather than in the vicinity of China's alleged bio-lab in Wuhan.)

If WHO covered up CCP's mishandling of the incident (possible, if not probable), defunding it would encourage the organization to tighten up it's procedures.
