My patent attorney says there are ways to copyright patentable materials, that cannot be stolen. But patents dont guarantee license, sale or wealth. The chinese have spies in every factory there and abroad..they even steal from each other..Crazy world we live in
Lindsey..Copyright is the easiest and cheapest way to protect ones intellectual property..its not a patent, and doesnt have to go through the patent process. Utility patents are only good for 20 years with an extra year for pend..Copyrights are good for 75 years and they can be passed on for generations even longer or indefinitely
Snook, if you can write computer language and control programing, you are an inventor. Especially if you design the program from scratch. I used to think think some equipment i designed would be better without computers, but as time and technology moves forwards, i can fully see the need. which now will require Programing and hardware
Linsey, patents are worthless, unless you have tons of money to proceed and protect. The chinese dont care. they'll make millions off your property, selling to Asia and Russia, before you ever catch it
Oh i'll discuss inventing with you, or concept, without discussing my product line. inventing starts by training your brain to conceive something you either want, or that others want. and if you dont have the entire theory worked out, someone out there, will have just enough information to move you forwards
Usually the chinese steal everyones intellectual property, so unless you are a fortune 500 company, or your product is secret, its going to be difficult to protect it.
I have many Novel inventions that i just keep hidden and never discuss. Someday, i'll possibly sell the simplest one that has the littlest meaning to me, and it will generate enough money to launch them all. After i have all the money i could ever care about. they can steal all t5hey want. i'll just invent something even better
