RE: Would you buy this house...?

Yes, I'd buy it if it's in a good location. Not so long ago, people used to die at home of natural causes and nobody cared. Today, people die in hospitals and on the street. Doesn't mean we stop going to the hospital or walking around outside. I will say that I'd probably use the hokus pokus to get a good price tongue laugh

RE: Eurovision

I quit watching EV contests. It's too political for my taste.

RE: Belly freeze breakfast.

Wanna put on weight? Simple: Pizza with all the toppings or one of my favorites: tons of Totino's Pizza Rolls and then some nice Rocky Road Ice cream with full-fat whipped toppings and chocolate syrup. Works like a charm laugh

RE: we r being fried without oil..

comfort It's the humidity that's so awful. I imagine you have high humidity there. I've lived in places like that. The dry heat is easier to tolerate. The thing is that in cold weather, you can always add clothes, but you can't take off your skin laugh I read somewhere that the nerve receptors for heat and cold are in the neck region and the wrists. So maybe a cold/moist towel or one of those cold neck rings might help a little... put in the freezer and then use.

RE: Alien Invasion in Cork.

Ken, did anybody ever bother to check with the airlines and immigration? laugh

RE: westen madicine

It is true that western medicine is big business. Then again, so is eastern medicine (i.e. Rhino horn to cure anything from cancer to impotence is 300 000 $ per horn). Tigers, Rhinos, and other animals are endangered because of dubious medicinal claims. It is true that pharma companies get wealthy by prolonging life, but remember that demand is the driver. People aren't keen to die, you know. laugh

RE: IS THIS SITE REAL? DOES ANYBODY MEET SOMEBODY HERE

Nice blog entry. I love it! Wishing both! of you all the best and I'm happy to read that CS worked for you guys group hug wave cheers from the other sunshine state grin

RE: It's possible

... and too old. I like the sentiment of your post. You cannot rely on other people to help you or to make you better or whatever. Whatever you want, you have to go after or die trying. handshake

RE: I don't know how to escape here

Young people everywhere else are in the same situation. They are either at University or they are working. You know the saying: the grass is always greener on the other side. It's not. comfort

RE: Fluoride

"The optimal fluoride level in drinking water to prevent tooth decay should be 0.7 milligrams of fluoride per liter of water (mg/L), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Monday, down from a accepted previous fluoride level of 0.7 to 1.2 of water mg/L."

Sounds to me like it depends on the municipality that supplies your water whether you got a high dose or not.

The only damage I got is a coating of my brain which explains why I'm so crazy laugh

RE: is there a better life in another country ?

I've lived in several countries. As said earlier, there are pros and cons to each, but no matter where you go, you will still be you. Know what I mean? Don't run. If you go, go for the right reasons and then start thinking practical: health care, language, culture, mentality, pol. stability, etc.

RE: yamaha1002

I don't think that swimwear is confining and it does protect the bits a little esp. swimming or diving in the ocean. I cannot imagine going to a nudie beach in northern Europe, period. The water and weather is way too cold for my taste.

RE: Second E-mail Account

Come on, give the guy a break. Maybe he doesn't have the luxury of guidance and has to figure everything out by himself. At least he's nice enough to share his insight to help others.

RE: hi all

Alles Gute. Wuensche Deinem Sohn viel Glueck bei den Pruefungen! peace

RE: Volcanoes

Yes, it could happen. Scary thought. Love the topic and the subject!

RE: What do you perceive as intelligent?

I think it's a combination of certain types of academic pursuits, social skills, emotional response ability, ability to learn from experience, but not one alone. Sports and intelligence? Flying and scuba diving require a degree of intelligence... football(soccer), track, hurdles, etc... nah. That Beckham thing has to be a joke. laugh

RE: Would you partake in an open relationship?

About the original question, I'd most definitely not engage in a fling or anything else with them.

RE: US East Coast

We've had a minor miracle happen today. It rained and it's still overcast and only 65-70F outside. Brrrr.

RE: Differences of Opinions...

wave You know, how I react depends on who I'm dealing with and the subject matter, but as a rule of thumb, I don't argue on another person's blog. The trouble is that some people don't know the difference between an argument and a fight. On the funny side, I find the men to be much more emotional than the women laugh

RE: feeling`s and anger issues

Lovely, it's a people issue, but here's something that I learned over the years: It's not okay to scream at another person or to say hurtful things. Usually people don't see how toxic any kind of a relationship is where people have no self-control and blame the other for their own bad behavior. Once you've been away from such an environment for years and then you revisit it, you won't believe that you've ever tolerated it. teddybear

RE: "THE LIBERAL MIND"

You asked what it is: It's have vs have nots. People like you and I do not get to make decisions which way the boat floats. The best we can hope for is not to go under.

I see this country going to hell in a handbasket because there is no control, no oversight and no accountability at the top.

RE: "THE LIBERAL MIND"

Oooh so hostile. Do you need labels to differentiate people? Aren't we all in the same boat here?

RE: I Found a Wascally Wabbit Today!!

Well done thumbs up

RE: "THE LIBERAL MIND"

The whole argument about liberal/conservative and all that is as old as the cold war. These labels mean nothing anymore. Things have changed significantly in the last 30 years. We live in an Oligarchy. It's time to rethink what is, not what it used to be, imo.

RE: Am living in Berlin Germany??and want to relocate

15-20 000 Euros should do the trick, esp. in Poland.

RE: me

You know, that's okay. There are certain views that some people hold that I wouldn't want to be around in my private life and I'm sure the same is true vice versa. Not everyone can be friends with someone who sits on the other side of the fence. Like people already said: it's better you know now rather than later. Just let him go, don't think about it anymore and move forward :-) wave

RE: King Abdullah II

Nam, if you want to blame someone, blame the entire Bush clan and their cronies. They should have left Saddam alone. He knew how to control those crazy people. We don't, obviously. Btw, it's not the communists, but the capitalists.

RE: READY FOR WORLD WAR III? RS Vs UKR?

Rolf, what you write is half true. I looked it up. It developed from the north germanic languages. It is only grammatically similar to today's german which is more or less an artificial construct to allow communication. It's an interesting subject. I don't want to hijack Didier's thread here.

RE: READY FOR WORLD WAR III? RS Vs UKR?

Rolf, how Swedish can understand German and vs. in a business negotiation is a mystery to me. What kind of business negotiation was that? You sell me 5 beers and I pay you 10 marks? laugh wink

RE: READY FOR WORLD WAR III? RS Vs UKR?

Rolf, Thank you for that explanation. They must use the same word with the Umlaut. I always thought Swedish to be very different, but ok.
