I've been a resident of Japan for many yrs and I consider the country exciting and very livable. You won't appreciate it unless you know how to communicate in Japanese. Very good opportunity for people who want to teach English too. Of course there are cons like discrimination but where else would you not find that?
There sure is!
I have lived in 4 countries and it was always my ambition to retire in Spain...For better climate. .better life style...cheaper cost of living ...
What more do I want? I have many friends ..Some of other nationalities but mostly Spanish and have integrated well here.

Most Brits want to come here for the same reasons and on their pension they can certainly do better here. wave
Every country has it's pro's and con's.

I think you will only find out once you'll live there. You can always give it a try and come back if it doesn't work for you. conversing
thanks for the advice ladieshug handshake
I've lived in several countries. As said earlier, there are pros and cons to each, but no matter where you go, you will still be you. Know what I mean? Don't run. If you go, go for the right reasons and then start thinking practical: health care, language, culture, mentality, pol. stability, etc.
Dubai...are you mad...at least have tried it for 2 years..
They say, grass is greener somewhere, but it's not free from struggles,, you know what you're leaving behind, but you don't know to what you're heading to ,, seems exciting at times, just fasten your seatbelts ,,
well if you start with negativity then you'll never try anything...Ive moved to Baharin and I'm living the dream...
no ian no negativity here im cautious because of the war in the middle east i can get 6monthly contracts which would suit me grand as i work as a safety officer at racing events dubai racing would be the contract in there season from oct to end of march tax free same salary for 6 months rather full time contract in ireland with tax thanks for the advicehandshake
