RE: Where is Kate Middleton

Lady Catherine, is The Queen of England. That is set in history. King Charles II will only be King for so long. Not sure what the bloody joke is? Did they do something to you or do you feel They are just easy targets or is this 1984 to you and finding something to mutually hate brings you closer to those who also have hate in their heart?
I like her. A litil formal(?) proper, but that was her life since birth, talk with a plum in her mouth and all. But that aside does not detract from the fact that she is a woman with feelings and emotions. Please remember that. Maybe she is sick of talk like yours and the rest of the abusers that you seem to be gathering against her. How would you like it everyone decided to hate on you for zero f*cken reason? W.

RE: Where is Kate Middleton

Lady Catherine is a friend of mine on Facebook. I have not heard of what she is doing and I have no intension of asking her and interfering with her personal private life because she is a friend of mine and I respect friends. Why should you care either way?
Who are you to her?

RE: Citizen Trump Has Lost His Appeal

Also Jac, this is not a commentary on the blog but upon the Powers attributed the President.
No one should be above the law, no one. The way those laws read Mr Trump, as President, could literally walk around the White House shooting people at will and after each kill shot, pardon himself.

RE: WARNING: CONTENTS EXTREMELY HOT!

I am unsure your point.
The first case does not explain whether the lady was sitting in her parked car or driving while attempting to drink a scalding beverage. As I see it, I would have expected her to be 50% negligent at best.
If i drop a knife while washing it and it slices off my big toe, it is not the Knife manufacturer's fault. It is mine entirely.
The second case where you claim McDonalds had better have better lawyers for that case seems ill conceived.
McDonalds did not pour the coffee on her. She did irrespective of whether she left the lid on or not. My reasoning is the common mug or cup is made sans lid. If she had poured hot coffee on herself, either in her car or her kitchen, from a normal coffee mug or cup whose responsible for that? W.

RE: Citizen Trump Has Lost His Appeal

Hi Jac, the three points. Trump was not President was he on January 6? Had he not been beaten by Biden at that point? The whole point of the January violence when a Police Officer was killed / murdered had to do with him claiming the election invalid. Seems a lot of misinformation going about. You seen objective and well informed. World love to hear your personal opinion. Regards W.

RE: OK a much easier chess puzzle for you.

Easier Jim? lol.

I first thought I'd move the Black Bishop and position it between the W Queen and Knight using the pawn as cover.

Then I though about pushing the black pawn up and threatening the w Knight, leading to a swap fest.

If I went the B Bishop move all I can see is W Queen going on the defensive to cover the pawn shielding the W Castle.

I'd push the black pawn up one and try to come out on top during the swap.

You do realise that you are arguing with me, saying I am wrong, and you're saying the exact same thing as me?

Who's wrong? I'm lost. What? Thanks FF. W.

RE: Solve it, if you dare !

FargoFan•23 mins ago•s

Yes, now I see that. I was looking at the main defensive move being Castle to defend the white pawn.

Taking the Black Knight is a superior move; although either move only delays the inevitable; Black to mate. Either way, my next move is Bishop takes pawn, check. Then Black Queen takes white Castle. Then it is just a matter of pointless defensive blocks by white leading to mate. Once the Black Queen is on the final row it is over.

I don't resign when I play Chess. I play out the loss, if I am going to lose. Believe it or not, much can be learned from the end game; win or lose. W.

Well, forgive me for defending Trump's charm & charisma.
It seems once again, that you are not really...........happy.

I'm slightly confused, all joking aside. You're defending Trump's charm & charisma or do you stand by what you first wrote that he has no charisma? W.

RE: Coronavirus US deaths over 1,000 per day for the first time in July

Not good at all Jim. I feel for you and the USA people.

Here on The Island Continent, we have close to 75% of the land mass open to business, beering, and socialising, with the final quarter being the three largest financial hubs. W..

RE: More on Oz...does it ever end?...

Thank you. I think I've died and gone to wet dream heaven. W.

I agree. W.

RE: Can someone connect me to the twitter account?

North, then turn right while hopping up and down on your left leg. A quick downhill and you're here.

RE: Madness

You’re all too complex for me.
Not that that’s a bad thing.
The art of complexity is the reduction to simplicity, so that all can understand.
Take a chill pill, crack a beer, puff on a pipe, and then go sit in the sun and enjoy the warmth. W.

Hi Usha,

RE: Could B. Hussein Obama Find Himself On Trial For Treason?

Is this blog some sort of retaliation against Obama for saying Trump has performed miserably regarding Covid-19? Or is it because Obama announced his backing of Biden? Or is it for both? Deflection, redirection, slight of hand?

You could always say it is just a coincidence. Die hard Trump supporters will believe you.

Or you could write a blog explaining how Trump is winning - you could explain how
Trump is winning in the number of Americans tested for Covid-19;
how he's winning in the number of infections in one country,
and then how he's winning in the number of deaths

Additionally, it's good to see you've relocated from China to Canada, although I have to ask how, what with Canada's borders closed to all International flights?

RE: Lucifer

AbsolutelynothowrediculousofcourseIdo.

That's as close as I could get to a one word response. I hope that suffices more than adequately.

RE: Evidence that Covid 19 was around in November?

usha makes a valid point Johnny. The last thing those entrenched in the so called war of words want, desire, or need is any type of fact contradicting their unsubstantiated beliefs.

Like duh! It's how the world really works.

RE: Evidence that Covid 19 was around in November?

Along the same lines. France's first official case of Covid 19 is January but just recently a french Doctor remembered an Algerian man who presented him self at hospital early December with flu like symptoms, which the Doctor at the time could not diagnose. The article said the Doctor checked hospital records between Dec 2 and Dec 14. The man, a butcher by occupation, stated his whole family was suffering the same symptoms.

Remembering it he checked the patient's blood, which had been frozen, for Covid 19 and the test came back positive.

When the Doctor followed up on his discovery he learned the man had not traveled to China anytime prior or any other Asian country and neither had any of his family.

RE: Very Exciting news - 4 Step plan for elimination of the virus

That worked.

RE: Batman & Robin

To clarify further, I was not saying you have any type of disorder but, rather, that the hypothetical examples, as described, imply an unhealthy mental outlook in someone who would actually say them in a real life situation and in that exact way.

Sorry if there was any confusion. It was not my intent or desire to impose any sort of double meaning to my words.

RE: Batman & Robin

Screaming I love you in an angry tone is not really what I would consider normal behavior in the same way saying soothingly I'm going to kill you. Yes I am. And then I'm going to eat you. If someone said either of those things to me my first thought would be they're not playing with a full deck of cards.

RE: Batman & Robin

Perhaps that is correct. I can't say because I did neither; although both instances you relayed imply some sort of psychological disorder and you are probably correct in stating the Magpie may have indeed viewed me in a different light.
In both case I spoke calmly and rationally, not soothingly and reassuringly, but as if I was speaking an another human being.

In contrast, soon after I moved into this house I began to be swooped by a Butcher bird every time I walked outside. One day after swooping me it perched in the tree down by the back fence. It was perhaps 4 or 5 mts away from where I was standing. I picked up a small piece of gum tree bark and threw it in the birds direction hoping to hit the branch near where it was perched. I missed the branch but I did connect with its tail feathers under the branch. If a bird can be said to change its expression that is what it did. It, however, did not fly off but rather stood its ground.
I said to it calmly and menacingly, not loudly at all, "I can get you! Swoop me again and I'll mess you up."

He never swooped me again. Today I have an extended family of Butcher birds that visit me on a semi regular basis in what seems like a purely social interaction.

RE: Batman & Robin

Jim, I found it very interesting you talked to the bird in a soothing manner but more than that, probably subconsciously at least, in a way implying the Robin understood you.

I always talk to animals from the point of view that they understand every word I say. (even animals that are not domesticated and considered unlikely to comprehend any type of rational converse, birds mostly but not just them) Whether they can or do or not I'll never know but some strange things have occurred over the years that indicate some anyway are completely aware of the personal interaction.

Some time ago every morning I would ride my bike up a stretch of road that was patrolled by a very territorial Magpie. For the best part of a week he swooped me, always coming in from behind with the sun behind him. Well. I tried a number of things; stopping short when I saw him coming; waiting until I saw his shadow, then quickly turning around to shock him, waving a stick over my head, Then one day I tried something different.

I stopped my bike and watched him mid swoop. He instantly changed course and perched in a nearby tree just watching me. While looking directly at him I said "Hello darling, what are you doing? I haven't hurt you and I do not intend to hurt you. Why do you want to hurt me?"

We continued to look at each other for a few moments longer and then I got on my bike and continued my ride.
He never swooped me again.

Of course you could say coincidence but a week or so later, at a different location more than a km from that Magpies' territory another Magpie swooped me. I pretty much said the same thing to him and he also never swooped me again.

RE: SpaceX scheduled to launch 60 satellites today...

OldeGuy, this is only the prelude. I read a story some time back saying his plan is to encircle the planet and ultimately offer a world wide service; oceans, deserts, tops of mountains, literally everywhere when it's finished.

It also said Musk is envisioning speeds starting around 1GB per second.

Australia's national broadband, known as NBN (which is still being rolled out in a few remaining parts of Australia) taps out at around 150MB p/s.

As I understand 5G, it is about 10 times 4G speed which means 5G will probably tap out at around 300MB - 350MB p/s.

RE: New Member Alert

Fargo, I got the exact same email, word for word.
If you want her, I won't fight you for her / him.

Whoever made the comment about the same people (or small group of people) sending different photos, that's been in the back of my mind for a while now. It almost seems to me that whoever is sending them fancies them self a self styled matchmaker and is simply trying to find "my type" through trial and error.

I get photos of almost every demographic, body shape, and skin tone, with age ranging from what looks like 14 but claims to be 20 plus, to the oldest so far being 86 who, (in her own words) described herself as a hopeless romantic with a strong need for physical and emotional stimulation.

Their hope might be, I would imagine, to find an image that I might fall in love with at first sight, and then be so stupid that I continue this love affair sight unseen.

RE: Captain Apocalypse is back

Jac, I guess it is like real estate; location, location, location. When you said...
You've got snow...?
Send some this way. It's a 16C heatwave here and verging on unbearable.

I've never seen 16C and heatwave used in the same sentence. We here down under consider 16C a nice winter's day temperature.
As a comparison, just before Xmas we had a heat wave which started with a 47C daytime temperature.

I get where you are coming from though. One former boss came over here from the UK. For the first few winters here he had to wear shorts and a singlet because, in his mind anyway, even our winters are too hot.

RE: Daytime TV...

That should have been "closed circuit" and not "close circuit".

RE: Daytime TV...

I've always understood CCTV short for close circuit tv or one or more fixed cameras privately installed (like those outside a house or 7/11 to monitor the car park) or publicly installed (like those at intersections) and monitored by one or more tv screens.

With the online situation you face, I get online with my tv and laptop through my smart phone via the wi-fi hotspot function, which is not a separate app. It's really easy on most phones to securely setup; although, like you, I have trouble with the smart tv and mostly only use its online ability to update its software. I put the majority of the streaming issues down to it being 6 or 7 years old with an early model, slow processor, so I stream online movies to my laptop, which is always connected to a 24 inch LED screen.

My tv also has a function called "direct connect" or something like that. It allows me to play a movie on my laptop and watch it via the wi-fi on my tv.

RE: Dr Pepper with Creme Soda

Many years ago, maybe 30, someone began importing Dr Pepper. I tried it and thought it was a bland. I guess I was expecting it to taste more like cola or Creme Soda. I never bought another bottle. Apparently the rest of Australia agreed with my assessment and within 6 months it was no longer on the shelves - not anywhere I shopped anyway.
