nice, Gypsy. when i visited my family, years ago, we went to some garden in LA. it was a very beautiful garden. it had segments that portrayed different styles and when one walked in it, you felt like you were in that country or time. there was a zen garden and a Japanese garden with walking trails.
In the Japanese garden, there was an outdoor tea room with a view of the koi pond. we had tea and almond cookies. i will never forget that day. it was wonderful.
i think, if the family thing isn't easy to live with, distance makes the relationship closer. that is how i managed to avoid the conflict and focus on things less petty. for some, the relationship is so out of whack that i don't think anything will help.
Aa, even with the untruths, simply reading what they post is a very good indication of whether you would welcome them for coffee or a kick in the pants.
lol a friend of mine looked at the gallery picture and compared it to a speed dating image. good for you to give it a shot. if anything, it keeps you in practice to talk socially. as with anything, the more you do it, the better you'll get.
Johnny, when i was in school, i often was the teacher's pet. i didn't like that. too much attention, so i intentionally dumbed down. i no longer liked school. i continued this throughout my life. i didn't want to be expected of too much or fear of disappointing people. now, as a dumber person, i am comfortable in my skin. as for Mr. G's comment about the smell of bread, i do love bread.
