If you like books that turn you off Socialism (not that you need one) , the definitive one is The Gulag Archipelago. If anything I had the opposite take away from Atlas Shrugged (ie. if there's one thing humanity does not need, it's the idea of legislating for selfishness. Great writer though.
That was the first game of American football I've ever watched , and it turned out to be the greatest SuperBowl of all time. I'm never going to watch a soccer match again (ok apart from World and European cups).
Trump is certainly being very active, to his credit.
He strikes me though as a guy who acts with the decisiveness/certainty of someone who doesn't have a deep understanding of world affairs. ie. The quickest short cut to having conviction is a lack of understanding, which of course is a big part of the problem. (which is not to say he's not dealing with some very intractable issues.)
I wish him well. I want him to prove a lot of people wrong, including me (for the good of the world).
I'm sure he's super concerned about my opinion of him ;)
I agree with everyone re: getting your hands in the soil if you can , get out walking etc.
From my own experience: meds and therapy completely useless.
Men in particular need a project in their lives. You don't have to beat it all at once. Maybe get some graph paper and colour in a dot for every hour your work towards something you want, In that hour you've beaten it. That's what I do. Not to over simplify of diminish your problems, but life is just a series of hours. Win the hour, win the war.
Part of me would be interested to see what a massive construction project like that would actually look like, purely as a fan of cool looking building work, even in CGI form.
Logistically, at 1900 miles long, what kind of super structure would it be?. I've noticed the phrasing since the election has changed already from wall to 'physical barrier': so less gaudy monument, more practical design maybe. There must be thousands of private landowners on the border who won't give up their land cheaply either and there are 115 nature reserves situated along the Rio Grande, so there's the environmental groups on your case too.
Big job. Trump said it'll cost 8 billion . Probably more like 80.
