No, unfortunately, I don't know Pali, the original language the stories were written. I only wish I knew all of the ancient languages ancient scriptures or texts were written in but, I don't.
I always say , "if you really want to know of what it says , go to the original text and language it was written, not the translation of it".
Could you please be kind enough to copy and paste here the whole story of the wheel mentioned in your comment for all to read?.
The only and last thing I remember reading was the article you recommended in your blog prior to commenting on it.
No more books for me, for now and, for years now.
There's no writer for Dhammapada , just those who collected and put together into a very little book the ancient sayings said to have come straight from the mouth of Buddha himself.
Dhammapada is just that, a collection of these ancient stories/sayings in the form of poems and verses, carrying in them as I see it, wisdom.
One of the reasons being my favorite book is that, it makes me think after each verse of each chapter read.
It's a very little book that changed my life for the better , same goes for my flawed, imperfect person.
It won't take you long to read it, I'm sure, hope it benefits and provides inspiration to you as much as it benefited and provided inspiration to me.
I do know Coelho, read some of his books and I'm a fan of him as well.
Speaking about silence, I copy and paste below, a Cherokee prayer that, I absolutely love and always did, since the first time I've read this,
O’ Great Spirit, help me always to speak the truth quietly, to listen with an open mind when others speak, and to remember the peace that may be found in silence. —
As far as the courier company is concerned, you can write a review, leave feedback and grade it , if there's such an option for the specific company online.
Yes, it does feel that "they don't ever sleep" with professional couriers, not all of companies are like that though.
No, Catfoot, that won't be necessary but, thank you for the offer . It's a fact that there are thousands at least of already single and available men around in this world and, I'm sure one of those is for me as I'm for him.
If the son of "your Valentine" takes after his mum in regards to all qualities mentioned and is also single and available then, I'm very interested. No problem about the distance, not a big deal to be taken care of
Well, if you are thinking of an illusion, you better concentrate on what's real and reality(have absolutely no idea about who you are referring to or still investing your thoughts upon, you decide if it's worth it, your thoughts, your energy, your time).
Sorry, I really have to log off this site for now.
Have a lovely time with "Your Valentine!". Enjoy the moment and present!
Or, maybe you are denying reality (not being in love) as part of "going bonkers in your old days" (just pulling your leg)
In any case , it's good to know that if any man goes the same trouble for me, invested a considerable amount of time, energy and effort to do what you did or any other similar actions, it doesn't mean "he's in love".
Sounds like a very good plan walking together in one of the largest flea markets and having your eyes open about/seeing whether something she likes.
I'm absolutely certain that there would be something that she likes there(large flea market, too many things).
I've just read your comment about the qualities of the woman you dated and thinking that, if I ever met the equivalent in a man, I wouldn't be able or want to let go of this person..
Placing my thoughts on the side now,
It sounds that the question "a gift or not a gift" has been answered and decision about the gift made.
Have a lovely time on Valentine's day coming shortly! All the best for it!
The Fool
