More often than not many people feel the loss of their 'pets' much more deeply than even one of their own relatives or friends...and when you try and think why, it makes perfect sense; a symbiotic relationship always goes deeper than any and when combined with the power of love with/to such small innocent creatures that when they pass on, we have indeed just lost a bit of heaven. Thank God for them all. My condolences.
It is far better for poor cat to be put to sleep; far better than all the pain and suffring and even for our own peace of mind. Last week we had to have put down our oldest of 16 years. Both of my children had her all their lives but they did not wish to see her deteriorate further and they reluctantly agreed. Our other two are helping them enormously. Good luck tomorrow; my sympathies.
Most likely McCain is keeping one out back somewhere well hidden so he can sneak off at times and play with it, a GMC Yukon customized by Dillon Aero. It may look like an ordinary SUV but behind the tinted windows lurks a fire spitting Mi34D Gatling minigun. These Yukons are outfitted with a roll cage, steel plate armour and puncture proof fuel cells and tires. At the first sign of any trouble, a gunner can pop through spring-loaded roof panels, swivel up to 360 degrees and unleash a 3000-rounds-per-minute barrage into any Obama supporters. Dillon Aero is the Arizona company that is not only the US's largest manufacturer of electric Gatling Guns ever since the gunships during the Vietnam war, but their Yukons are now mounted on everything from choppers to Humvees and are sold only to clients in the Bush side of the 'war on terrorism'...that isn't very fair...%D
Interesting as there is somewhat of a parallel to this from very ancient times in which several ancient civilizations stated that the sun did NOT RISE for 3 days. After a few years of hard work by various experts of the sciences and historians from all over the world, the indication that this phenomenon was indeed the same as recorded by Incas to Sumerians and others, that it did apparently occurred. The earth did stop rotating on it's own axis some 20 thousand years ago and then reversed with many tales of utter devastation for older civilizations...interesting....
Ummmmmmmmmm interesting concepts there; ever see the movie K-Pax with Kevin Spacey??????? Incredible 3 books and the one movie, %D In this world we all grow-uo far too quickly;too rushed by all and too impatient to imitate our elders. Keep your toys and pass them to your kids....they link us to many things that we try to ignore....
Interesting questions and interesting comment Bajan; the more there are of us, the more anonymous and invisible we become, hence the reaction to the polar extreme that has not yet subsided; that of ME, ME, ME! It really is tiresome and the change of focus to WE...US is desperately needed for balance...
IF...if everyone on this planet were madly in love with someone and if those 'someones' returned that love just as madly, then this indeed would be a far better world. No one,(in their right mind), in a loving relationship would want to take timeout to gout and make war on others... Far too many people have their hearts and minds surrounded by blackness. Were the 'old Hippies' right about 'Love'? On a global scale, I think so, but hate is far too easy...sadly.
Post your blog on the EU forums, you will then get many good and helpful responces for you to think over, as many of the ladies live in various parts of Spain and have children with the. It may also serve you well as a built-in 'social network' when you do move...Ciao! %)
I like life. It's something to do; Life is like a train . You expect delays from time to time, but not derailments; my Life has been one long descent into respectability but I've been trying for a long time now to develop a lifestyle that doesn't require my presence...Life is a funny thing that happens to you on the way to the grave...
"They" don't it's about 50-50. I suggest that you consult The Beer Encyclopedia; it has colour photos of most world know beers and the bottles/ cans they come in. Lots of other books also in beers show their containers.
Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us. quoted
The above is taken fro Oliver Wendel Holmes that goes: "Alas for those who never sing but die with all their music inside them." The Poet Ezra Pound put the same warning this way: "Music rots when it gets too far from the dance."
Liked your poem, it is all basic but it is well put together; keep writing, you're getting better. %)
Have you seen the movie The Handmaiden's Tale with Robert Duval? It's what's comin' down the pike gainin' speed...Many 'conservative Republicans' love this film BTW. If you haven't seen it, you'll then know why they love it.
LOL! Welcome to a Parents world. Going throughit again now,,,including the ol' 'why did you have me ?!' routine...easy to tell the truth, 'beacause I wanted you, even though you would be an idiot for awhile...' lol. I told him to write down his answer for when he is asked that in the future. %D
As you can recognize a "good teacher" when you see and hear one, perhaps she just doesn't have that "gift" but she can deliver boring lectures; a huge difference there as you undoubtedly know. To me, the abilities to teach effectively and keep the classes lively does not include boring lectures or uninspired assignments...Sounds as if you have to do a performance appraisal...
How delicate...how very beautiful the images your poem creates. You live in a beautiful area, the Ozarks...hitch-hiked through there in the early 60's...all along the Appalachian Mountains, from upstate New York down to Florida and up through the Ozarks then down to Mexico. Hummingbirds, flutterby's (butterflies) dancing over flowers in summer...used to have them in our gardens down in southern Maryland...just made one feel good to just see one or hear its wings...nice memories...thank you. %)
Aplogies...I meant to SAY that you were fortunate in a way, that your year ended with a NO Show....apologies...I forgot to re read what I had written as opposed to what I thought...new shoe?? %)
Very nice. One never knows how things will end or start; you're very fortunate in that your year ends with a now shoe, but you initiated a nice beginning!. Take comfort in that it was you that started the new start to a new and hopefully happy new year and you have the ultimate luxury of a true friend. Very nice. %)
My sentiments also; what is best is always rare and things that are rare cost a lot...most aren't willing or able to pay the price and they certainly do not want to hear that they can afford it. Sad indeed.
