RE: all the women of the world

well dont be surprised if I get the boot here shortly laugh

RE: So you want to quit smoking ?

what do you mean? I dont need help quitting, i dont smoke! Every now and there here or there if I drink I will have one, but nothing major.

Sounds like you replaced your ciggs with walking, buddy! laugh Well yes obviously you have to want to quit above all else, but ultimately you have to reprogram the behavior, is all I was saying.

RE: So you want to quit smoking ?

Angel is right. You have to 'replace' smoking with something else. When I quit for a few years I literally changed my schedule. This tricks the mind and since its not part of your new 'normal' routine, you dont really even think about it. For example, if you get up and smoke a few ciggarettes before work, get up and do something else instead, say, maybe 30 pushups?

The other thing I did was start running. This helped tremendously for a few different reasons. First, it staved off the weight gain, and second, the deep breathing actually mimics how one breathes when they smoke. Most people think the nicotine is calming them down, but its not, its the way you are breathing. The nicotene actually makes you more on edge. After a while, I started running so much I would get the runners high....which felt good.

Another thing I did was meditate.....this really helped any anxiety and also again, the breathing.....instead of going outside to smoke, meditate.

Never heard of this whole 'monster' concept, but really all that is, is a form of meditation. Wont stay with you for long though unless you believe it on a subconcious level. I would say definetely start meditating. Good luck!! beer

RE: Everyday is a gift that needs to be unwrapped.....

RE: all the women of the world

Jamil-

Miss Melodyy! hug

Thanks for the comment and I agree, often times we push ourselves to much and somehow get lost in the process. I got to that point when I lost my mojo initially! laugh

Life can definetely be a struggle at times, and yes what I was generalizing in the last sentence was that often the struggle is an illusion or something we just dont see the value in at the time.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom! beer

well the dream I referred to in this blog I suppose would be the best possible scenario in my current enviornment.....

but one of my dream jobs has always to work for National Geographic as a photojournalist....travel around and write articles and take pictures! I would love that. Have been debating on getting a second degree in journalism, but not sure yet. When I was little I used to save up my babysitting money to buy acres of the rainforest.....I always loved watching shows on that, and wished I could go there and explore and study it. The world is such an amazing place!! I often find it funny when I meet people who have never been out of their own state!!

I would love to go to the mountains there! Ive never been to colorado yet hug

and yes, you got the point exactly about him being in the right place at the right time.....that is what I was getting at in my blog.....that I have noticed how all the people we meet can eventually come back full circle to expose something to us when we need it most heart beating Sometimes its just hard to translate from my brain to the blog! beer

mike, seriously, dont be stupid. My boss is a woman. This blog has nothing to do with my boss!

Full Circle

oh.....P.s. YES, I was rather tired when I wrote about the hairdresser, but yes my original connection with him to this blog was that he did indeed, help me find my mojo back.....and he reinforced the fact in my mind, that in the end everything works itself out. After everything he went through, in the end, he stayed true to himself. hug

Hi Miss Emily! cheers Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I agree that we need to focus on finding something that makes us happy. I think that has been my problem lately, is that I find myself 'stuck' in a situation I am unhappy about, and no near end in sight. So yes, it has been quite a struggle for me. I think the struggle is that I know where I need to be but I know it is not going to happen soon.

like the saying goes....'sometimes you gotta do what you don't want to do, to get where you want to be'

maybe if you can access google from china you can use 'google translate' Not sure if that would even help, sometimes I dont even understand my own writings! hehe laugh

Janmei-

Yes, you captured the entire point with that symbol. Sometimes it is hard to convey the point in writing, when it flows so simply in our mind.

Until last weekend, it had been a long time since I went to get my hair done. I decided to treat myself. The girl who usually does my hair was with another client, so I ended up getting this man with just a pure energy. Another man came and started helping him, and we all started talking. I jokingly asked him what it felt like to have an assistant. He then told me how he used to own two of his own salons, and then his wife got cancer, and then he got cancer, and then he decided to go back to his passion, just simply cutting/styling hair, as opposed to running a business. Every ounce of his energy went into doing the best job he could. I hadn't felt as good as I felt when I left there than I have in a long time. It felt like a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders, literally and figuratively. Point here is that this man had been cutting hair for 35 years, owned two of his own salons, and gave it all up to go back to doing what he loved. It is so rare to meet people these days who are in tune with their passion and truly put their all into everything they do. Not sure how relevant this story is, but what Im getting at is that often we get so consumed with useless pursuits, and if we just focused on what is really meaningful to us, we would be happy, regardless of the circumstances cheers

RE: South American woman...

Im thinking you meant, South AFRICAN woman? If not, I suppose this blog could be referring to me laugh

Houston, we have a problem

Miss V! I thought you abandoned me! laugh Ive missed you too!! yay

RE: Food for thought

Thank you Ruben for posting something intelligent!! It is rather refreshing. Yes, I have read about Quantum Physics and the string theory, and I have so much more to read and learn. I really do think there is something to it. I just dont know enough about it at the time to make a very detailed comment...but I can tell you I often think about how everything in the world is interconnected, and how often patterns appear in things that are seemingly chaotic, synchronicity, and dimensions. WHen I have more time and Im not so tired I can expand a bit....but I definetely do agree we create our own reality.

I like to think of it like this, if your mind suddenly stopped working, (you died) your 'reality' wouldnt exist, right? Well, so when it is working, and your thinking, you are putting sll your energies and emotions out into the universe, and they interact with everyone elses emotions and agendas.

Never read the 'Secret' I guess I just dont get why it suddenly became this 'grand concept' to people that they create their own realities. Who the hell did they think created their reality? dunno cheers

Thanks for the blog though.

RE: what the f$&*.!!

mr. Share-

I am not sure if you are emailing women in your area, or women overseas, but maybe try starting in your state first. If you email people in other states they might not want to bother with a long distance thing.

The other thing I can tell you just from the emails I get, is try to at least make an effort to say something interesting. Sometimes guys will email me with just the word 'hi' wtf is that? How does one even respond to that, (other than the obvious) laugh

Im sure you get my drift. What I am saying is if a guy is sending just one word or just a standard greeting, and makes no further effort, then its left up to the woman to get the conversation going and thats awkward, given they were the one intiating! haa....but, I will say I have also had some people surprise me with some very unique and creative emails.

so, those would be my pointers. Someone in your general area, and figure out something quasi-creative to say to spark a conversation. Tells her your actually interested, and not just acting like a bot sending the same "hi how are you?" email to a whole slew of other women. cheers
