RE: What is wrong with people from Africa ?

Just checked it out, seems like Uganda is an accepted country now. They must have changed the rules since I was booted for posting from there.

RE: Saint RBG died. Finally!

I love to spend time in churches. I particularly like small churches out in quieter parts of the countryside. I love to sit in quiet contemplation in the stillness and refuge they provide. I think all churches are good.

RE: Saint RBG died. Finally!

Not quite, but something similar. He was swiming in the sea off Malibu Beach when he was caught by the tide. Being dragged out to sea he called out to God to save him. Moments later a wave pushed him back towards the shore.
He was convinced God had saved him so he took to reading the bible to find out about God. He says he couldn't find answers there but when someone gave him a copy of the Koran, which he studied, everything change for him and he consequently turned to Islam.

RE: Saint RBG died. Finally!

That's similar to how Cat Stevens turned to Islam.

Amazing what you can learn on Desert Island Discs.

grin

RE: Saint RBG died. Finally!

No worries, I'll just take it 'you' can't answer the question. It matters little.

RE: Saint RBG died. Finally!

I'm always serious about things of a spiritual nature but it just seems odd that you can't, or won't answer such a fundamental question.

RE: Say Anything

Cycling alongside the River Mersey, part of the coast to coast Trans Pennine Trail. It's lovely sunny day here in NW England, a good start to Autumn.

RE: Last Week Tonight

Yes, I watched it last night just after you posted it. If it's to be believed it's quite an eye opener and in parts, quite disturbing.

RE: Last Week Tonight

It's hard to imagine how something can be so wrong from start to finish...not that it's anywhere near finished yet...but when you've got such a reputable firm as Fisher Sand and Gravel on the job, what could possibly go wrong?
