Are you trying to say that the US isn't a secular state?
Or Egypt for that matter? Just to stay on topic.
"pray, too, for the Church in Egypt and around the region to be bold in their witness that the only true solution for peace and freedom is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ"
That is hardly the only solution, and one I'd hate to see anyone impose upon anyone else, anywhere in the world.
Keep politics and religion seperate, the way it's supposed to be, or move to Iran and see how you like life then.
Although this isn't addressed to me, I'd like to say that Assange should face the accusations in Sweden, as he is.
That doesn't mean that I agree with the US wanting to create new laws to go after him for the WikiLeaks affair. If there are current laws they feel might apply, then that's different, but so far I haven't seen any charges laid.
Maybe there should be new precedents set in the way war criminals are tried, Bush could be a test case.
Either way, I still think the US should charge him, and some other members of his entourage, and put them on trial, but failing that, the International courts should have a go.
The US is a secular country, not a Christian country, and no amount of wishing it to be different will change that fact.
If you want to live in a state controlled by religion, move to Iran.
It's about time all religion was removed from public schools and every other public place. I've yet to read any government document stating that indoctrination to Christianity is mandatory.
Seperation of church and state means just that, seperate.
Have to admit, I'm surprised the jackals haven't jumped all over your post like it was a dead yak. Screaming for links, proof, just to shred everything to pieces.
What about US law, whatever happened to all the talk of impeaching Bush and company? Or did Obama give him the golden BJ and send him on his merry way? There were obviously a number of people inside the US itself that figured he'd done something illegal to warrant such talk.
It's funny how the law itself doesn't matter anymore, just how well you can manipulate it to suit your needs, regardless of whether it's US or international law.
The day might come where we all need to retain legal counsel to post in the forums, wouldn't that be fun?
Simple, this is a dating site, what else is there to do other than argue?
Kind of like a pratice run for marriage.
I wish more Americans paid attention to what their leaders were/are up to, and actually knew who they are.
A little late for Ron Paul, but I still maintain that he would have been the best man for the job, period! Sad, hardly anyone had even heard of him even during the campaign, much less cared.
The American media has a lot to answer for, but again, not that many really care.
RE: Bush cancels travel plans.
Knowing Vinny, he'd probably approve of without clothes, maybe even endorse it.
