I believe the military thinking behind the lighter weapon is based on maneuverability and not necessarily on the "one hit one kill" objective. Also if an enemy has wounded rather than dead they use considerably more resources in the field than just burying their dead. It also has more of a demoralizing affect to hear your comrades screaming in pain.
I believe the saying goes "with age comes experience and with experience comes wisdom (hopefully)"
I've met some older people that still don't have a clue so the saying doesn't necessarily ring true. They still keep doing what there doing and expecting different results. Maybe when they get reallllly old the penny will drop.
Only you know what is best for you NMP...I would hate having someone messing with my stuff but then again forming attachment to things isn't healthy for one's soul, so maybe you're right
My car is black, my truck is black, my motorcycle is black and my boat is black and white (don't know where I went wrong on the boat). In fact most of my clothes are black and one of my favorite, if all time favorite, songs is Johnny Cash's "Man In Black"
have fun and post often. We will get to know you through your posts and that is one of the biggest pluses of this dating site. Not just a picture and a profile, the forums allow your true personality come through.
Like a few others here, I have found what I was looking for and enjoy the forums and some of the card games. If it gets to busy with trolls or scammers, I might take a break but I'd miss the banter here.
Ok while we are talking about old ship sayings, in the days of ships carrying canons they would store the canonballs on a brass plate (called a monkey) beside the cannon. Coating them in grease helped them stay in place but when the weather got really cold (below freezing) the brass plate would shrink and the resulting problem was the cannonballs would roll off of the plate and across the deck...hence the saying "cold enough to freeze the balls off of a brass monkey".
It certainly will be a much different world than we live in now but that is the nature of humanity. I don't foresee a global Muslim state that is as stringent as the current residing power of Iran but I don't really know. Hopefully a more liberal society where there is room for us all is in our future but I know that whatever the world is like they can never take away my freedom, because in my soul I am free and nothing can change THAT.
