I don't think any of it is a choice. You can't choose to love someone or choose them to be a soul mate, their either are or not. You can choose to be with someone but whether they are a soul mate or not, that is not a choice.
I tried showing up naked blasting metal music outside her window at 3am, making a pair of pants for her from onion bags and potato sack's, told her I would lick her sister just to imagine what she would taste like, showed up to her work wearing nothing but a well placed rose.
None of it worked though and now I got to stay 500 feet away from her
