They're sisters and good friends. (Twisted sisters, 3 of them) Lovely gals. I just couldn't do it. I'm sure it would have been....ummmmm....interesting! Perhaps the opportunity will present itself again someday, somewhere, sometime.
I like all types of music. Heavy Metal is probably my favorite though. Led Zeppelin and Pink Flyd are in my top 5 although I don't really consider them Heavy Metal. Old Metallica, Megadeth, Sabbath, Maiden, Dio, Priest, Halford, NIN, Type O Negative, Pantera and Burtom Cummings are some others. I think I'll turn up the stereo and see if I can't blow the other speaker tonight. My neighbours love me!
It's a toss up between all the reality shows, soap operas and advertising. I would think with all the satellites in orbit most channels would be available around the world. It depends on your service provider in each particular country. They're the ones that decide what you recieve. Personally, I watch programs that I can learn something from. It varies from science to current events to technical shows. I also like a good movie once in a while, commercial free of course.
Well maybe it's just me. I've never had an interest in the lives of celebrities, musicians or atheletes. I'd much rather talk to real people about their real lives. Something I can relate to. Not something fabricated to sell an image or promote their career. I'm sure there are quite a few celebs who are real, decent people and have no objections to meeting or talking to them. I have met a few. I don't have any interest in supporting the circus that surrounds the majority though. Way too much hype generated purely for profit.
It is a sad statement on what people's values have degenerated to. Money is held in the highest regaurd. Over almost everything else. When people pay more attention to Paris and Hollywierd than their own lives, you know there's a serious problem. By the way, how's that local sports franchise doing?
Canada has some of the best training available in the world. Canadians are generally accepted world wide in their specific fields of expertise. This is one reason retraining and testing is required. We do have higher standards than most countries. Another is like Gary mentioned, protection of their own. Most fields have governing bodies that do serve their own interests. They regulate prices, credentials, education and ultimately who will work in the area. Sometimes in an unfair manner. Language can also be a barrier for some, which you can overcome.
Keep at it, welcome to Canada!
PS: Don't let simple minded people get you down. They're just jealous that you have a brain that functions.
Paris and the likes of her are America's version of royalty. You don't need style, grace, manners or even a brain. Just money! How could you let this little princess rot in a dungeon?
