I wasn't around at the beginning of time or when humans first walked the earth. Primordial ooze maybe, who knows. Nobody can answer that with certainty. Impossible, no matter what you want to believe. I live my life to the best of my abilities and treat people the way I want to be treated. Simple. There may be a god or goddess or maybe aliens or some form of a higher power. I don't know. Never met any of them. As far as organised religion goes, I can't be a part of any of it. It all feels like a lie to me. Man made and set up to control the masses. Books written by man and rewritten and interpretted to suit their needs through the ages. If there is a loving god he/she will understand and if not then it doesn't sound like someone I'd like to be friends with anyway.
People really should educate themselves to some extent as to how their vehicles work. It's unbelievable how many people can't change a tire or know how to check the fluid levels let alone drive a manual shift vehicle. There are some terrible "mechanics" out there as well as doctors, accountants, cops, and just about every other profession under the sun. I've worked in every aspect of the automotive industry from building vehicles, racing, body/collision work, mechanical, towing and wrecking/recycling. I am a licensed mechanic myself. I got out of the trade for a number of reasons including health, money, the vehicles themselves and their owners. Most real mechanics spend an unbelievable amount of money on tools and equipment and get training in a technical school with constant upgrading to keep up with constantly evolving technology. It really bothered me when I'd get a car in that had been neglected for years, was absolutely filthy and looked like it had been packed in grease when you opened the hood. Then the owner would expect you to perform a miracle for $100 and make it like new again. For most a vehicle is the second largest expenditure next to their home. Shouldn't you take care of it a little better. Learn a bit about it and it's welfare. There is a lot of simple preventative maintainence that you can do yourself to avoid those costly(often justifiable) repair bills. There are honest mechanics and thieves out there and then there are those who whine all the time regaurdless. Oh yeah, keep your cars clean, you wouldn't go see your doctor without taking a shower first would you?
