RE: Obama and Illegal Immigration

As of 2010, 329 to 358 million people speak Spanish as a native language and a total of 417 million people speak it worldwide.
Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Wikipedia

I belong to 2 civic groups and one of them is an "oposition" one for the gov in case there is a need for that and this year we had elections for governor so when asking for the profiles of his team we got into a bizarre argument about asking for honesty

RE: Obama and Illegal Immigration

Moonman
Just out of curiosity How many languages do you speak?
bouquet

RE: Obama and Illegal Immigration

Moon man I do agree with you in the issue that illegal immigrants must be held accountable for that, being in USA or Mexico or Italy or Germany, etc..BUT they must be treated with respect for their lifes and their dignity.

I am pasting a part of a document about Mexico economics and the Mex-USA trade for you to see that solutions to problems have to be good for both sides.

AH! and please you do not worry about the language if the American gov decides to make English as the only language spoken believe me we Mexicans will speak it, as well as the people form many other cultures in the States.

"ECONOMY
Mexico’s economy is highly dependent on exporting to the U.S., which represents more than a quarter of the country's GDP. The result is that the Mexican economy is strongly linked to the U.S. business cycle, and has suffered from the economic slowdown in the United States. ....

Mexico's trade regime is among the most open in the world, with free trade agreements with the U.S., Canada, the EU, and many other countries (44 total). Since the 1994 devaluation of the peso, successive Mexican governments have improved the country's macroeconomic fundamentals.
......
In spite of its macro stability, Mexico is experiencing an increase in income inequality, and job creation continues to lag dramatically behind demand.
........
Mexico is also a major recipient of remittances, sent mostly from the U.S. Remittances average around U.S. $21 billion per year, and are the country’s second-largest source of foreign currency, after oil........

Trade
The United States was the destination for about 80% of Mexico’s exports in 2009. Top Mexican exports to the U.S. include petroleum, cars, and electronic equipment. There is considerable intra-company trade. Top U.S. exports to Mexico include electronic equipment, motor vehicle parts, and chemicals. Mexico is the second-largest export market for the United States.

Mexico is an active and constructive member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the G-20, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Mexican Government and many businesses support a Free Trade Area of the Americas.

Oil and Gas
In 2009, Mexico was the world's seventh-largest producer of crude oil, and the second-largest supplier of oil to the U.S. Oil and gas revenues provided more than one-third of all Mexican Government revenues and are the country’s largest source of foreign currency."
