My first mobile phone was a flip phone made by Samsung and it was the best of any phone I've had. Now I have a fancy iPhone and I don't like it because texting is not my forte. I have to swipe right or swipe left just to get a phone number off the phone. On my flip phone all I had to do was push Delete. Too much technology for a plain jane
Defensive driving in my New Jersey opinion is a form of multitasking. Watching straight ahead but at the same time being aware of what is going on beside you as well as far ahead.
I learned in driving class in high school that if your eyes are only on the car right in front of you you will not be prepared for the accident that might be way ahead down the road.
People in today's world have their eyes on the car right in front of them and their cell phone as they glance back and forth between the road and the phone.
It would never cross my mind to do the finger thing. I also don't shout at someone. Doing things like that encourages road rage. What I do is tell myself to let it go because in a minute I will be away from them.
