I've never been married so I've never experienced some of the jadedness that can come from being divorced. As to whether I would ever do it - I honestly don't know. I suppose it would depend on whether I found someone who I felt I could spend the rest of my life with. If I did, then why not? However, I would like it to be a mutual decision. I don't want the man to feel like I am pushing him into anything.
Er...maybe its me but if she's mad dog crazy about you and wants to hump your lumps, why is she with HIM? I say you grab the chick run off to the loveshack and get to being together already.
Hey I was once like you - then I realised that I had a damn good life. If you do what you can to make yourself happy now it just doubles the happiness once you find somebody.
Hi Sweet, my little one is three as well and has had numerous tranfusions and majour surgery before she was two. Since then I know as a fact that children are very resillient little people. I just came on and read this but I knew he was going to be alright. They do give us adults a fright sometimes. Glad to see he is on the way to recovery.
Well this has been quite an interesting experiment. The difference between this topic and others is that there was a topic -APART FROM MR. OBAMA. I think that fact got a little lost along the way. That it had very little to do really with liking or hating Obama, but whether that now that he was in the big seat whether there would be a rise in extremism. You know sort of like when Bush was in power and you had 9/11. Well at least it didn't totally turn into the mad free for all I've seen in some of those others, I think it only gets that way if people allow it to.
I thought it would be nice today to put up a thread celebrating the bond between mothers and daughters. I recognise that this role can also be filled by an aunt, grandmother, etc... and there are also man men who have been mother's to their daughters as well. I also recognise that there is also a closeness that boys share with their mother. I myself am the proud mother of a daughter and I can tell you I have had many friendships but none like the one I share with her. In her few years on this earth we have been through a lot together, as with most young children, we have our daily squabbles - not wanting to wear that shoe today or not liking that t-shirt, the tantrums, the pouting but at the end of it all we know there is unconditional love.
She is my teacher and I am hers. I look forward to doing all the girly things and not so girly things as well. I will support whatever she decides to do in life, whether it be sports, medicine, construction, modelling, etc... because the world has opened up so much now for women. I look forward to her first date and telling her about boys, about respecting herself and loving herself and her body whatever package it comes in. I know the road will not always be smooth but I look forward to the challenge. Just to know that I have turned out an accomplished young lady who is happy with herself I think is the gift all mothers strive to give to pass on to their girls. Would love to hear from the other mother's out there.
That's it? Why are you still hobbling about on a cane? THAT'S BEING WAY TOO ABLE-BODIED! You need to be so ill you can barely get out of bed. That way you get to have 'FEEDINGS' and 'DIAPER' changes. Don't worry you'll be thanking me later.
Now you're talking, just do a thread and tell them you tripped down the stairs and hurt your ankle and its swollen real bad...then sit back and watch your flower box and mail light up with requests to play NURSEY.
(by the way that wasn't free advice, I'll be expecting my $50US cheque per lady$$$)
