Honey, sorry to say but you are a doormat and he knows it. He played you for a fool, got what he wanted, doesn't give a damn about you. Stop whining, gather your self respect and stop all communication with him now. Not an easy thing to do, but you must. Sorry to be harsh but I am being objective and you are too close to the situation to see what is really going on.

Afraid to die? YES, I don't want to die, ever. But obviously I will. Short time? days...I would freak for a week..get business in order and say my goodbyes. UNKNOWN...you mean after death..won't known if anything after death...hope so.

in lovely Canada we know it is the beginning of the Christmas season because:1. The caribou move south into Ontario and sit on park benches with signs around their necks "Will work for anything".
2. The penguins open up classy bars, men have to wear tuxedos and women wear gowns of gossamer.
3. There is a huge sale of saws as everyone builds their winter homes of ice.
4. We don't tune up the cars. Instead we tune up the snowmobiles.
5. A huge drop from aeroplanes of frozen seal meat is deposited all over Ontario for the sled dogs.
6. All above ground schools are closed and the below ground schools are opened. This way the students don't have to walk outside in the bitter blustery wind and white out conditions as the polar bears are roaming every street in Ontario.
7. All new immigrants are given an allowance to buy new winter clothing and one bottle of vodka. The vodka is to lessen the feeling they made a huge mistake in moving to a frozen land.
8. Putting up a Christmas tree that sits on top of your igloo. Unfortunately the crazy teenagers drive by on their snowmobiles with baseball bats in hand to smash your tree over.
9. If anyone believes any of this...Merry Christmas.

Yeah but, the americans weren't the first ones to celebrate the harvest...Florida 1565 by the Spanish, Newfoundland 1578 and in Virginia 1619. All dates are disputable.

Traditionally it is to give thanks for the harvest in the fall. Having enough food to carry you (pioneers) (homesteaders) through the winter.
