Unlike you I live on the island of Ireland and would be directly affected by the civil war your friends are trying to start. You would be safe in England. Unless you had the courage of your convictions and came home and joined their 'struggle'.
Ironically you've no idea of what is going on in the North, because you don't understand democratic principles so you don't recognise when people are out to destroy democracy. Your understanding of democracy is to hit people over the head often enough until they surrender. I wouldn't mind that as there are plenty of people like you but you feel free to live in Enlgand and France and benefit from living in democratic societies! The thing is that he's being jailed for contempt of a court order...not for stealing 5oo million, I'd say his sentence is in line with what people get for contempt, no more no less.

True there is a difference based on where you live but there is no need for anyone to go hungry, as long as they know how to buy and cook sensible food.
During WW2 the British suffered food shortages and rationing and times were hard. They discovered only recently that the diet the people had then was actually healthier than at any time since!
