A piece of useless information....Thin Lizzy were actually called Tin Lizzy. Philo didn't realise that when they hit the UK the "th" would be pronounced
We have had 2 writing desks over the years. The first one was fabulous, with all the hidden compartments. I spent years playing at it as a child, but woodworm finally got the better of it. We bought a "replica" a couple of years ago......just doesn't work
If only I'd known about you before "stupid" money was spent on it
I'm just quietly sitting here, behaving myself, keeping quiet..................and waiting, just waiting for the moment when.............To be continued
I have a selection of fabulous pens that were given to my dad over the years. They are seldom used, but every now and then, it's nice to just "write stuff" with them
I remember going into WH Smiths, years and years ago, and spending ages deciding which fountain pen to buy. I settled on a Sheaffer, but it was wasted on me....I'm right handed, but write like a left handed person, across the page, so smudged everything
Believe it or not, I can be very deep and meaningful Short blasts of text doesn't get the feeling across like the written word. I kept every letter I ever received from I was 11 to 18 until a very stupid thing happened, and they all got thrown out by mistake, along with a load of other stuff
I used to write loads of letters, that were often described as novels. I would start them and add bits and pieces over a number of days, kinda like a diary.
There is/was nothing nicer than receiving a letter from a friend
