True True, but where will the line be drawn... We all of us have finite resources, and the talk is the talk... When these assorted charges actually come into play we will be as financially toxic as the banks were bailing out... Im genuinely scared of all this extra money im going to have to find... I dont live an extravigant lifestyle, and in common with many, I have cut my cloth according to my needs, but im fast approaching the tipping point where there simply is to much month left at the end of the money...And god have mercy on families with kids, and the elderly in our communities, I cant begin to imagine how tough it will be for them with there already streched rescources... I know im not alone...Ive said it before and ill say it again, this inexhaustable expectation by government of the public paying for all the missdeads of others (they know who they are) is not and will never be sustainable... There will need to be special sittings for "debters court"... A damning state of affairs in a developed nation....
A_B...( morbidly depressed, and needing a chinese dinner!)......
If they just "fessed up" and said "Hi fatty, i want your money, your dignity and your childrens inheritance, I might give them the time of day... But oh no, Its "Hi Gorgeous, wanna date?, whats your e-mail address, i really want to get to know you, you seem so nice"...And you can tell all that about me by "batch reading" my profile? (oh cynical me!)
And by the way, Aldi do some pretty good deals on replacement computer keyboards... ...
A gorgeous looking 27 year old in the states wants to date a 52 year old overweight grouchy paleface english missanthrop... Is it just me or does that sound a bit fancifull?... Now i might be wrong, but it could be time to nip down to Dunnes for some of that "special spray" that Bannerman was going on about...
There are thoughts in process of introducing a system of revenue collection to cover the shift from conventional terestrial viewing to the ever growing trend of internet streaming... Ill be mighty suprised if it does'nt show within the short to medium term... Considering the amount that would be generated, it seems like a "no brainer"...Laptops, internet enabled phones, I pads and the like are a fact of life and personal registration of such items and taxation at source of contract would be like "cash cow" heaven for a government that seems not to know where to draw the line on revenue aquisition... Just for a laugh, I heard on newstalk, someone suggest a tax on phone texts.......
Alien... The original and responsible for spawning countless immitators... Alien 2... Widely held as one of the best sequals ever... Alien 3... David Finchers poorly recieved but brilliantly claustrophobic lo tech debut film...(previously noted for his music videos)... Alien 4... Jean Piere Junets gorgeous looking piece of crap...
For me its 3, but 2 gets the action nailed where 1 has the sheer originallity down by a mile...
A_B......
But wait.....is 5 in the pipe?...covering the time before Rids original and working the terraforming theme covered in A2 (extended version)...We wait with interest...
There piece on renault window regs has kept me in work.....
Re Haggling, I remember a saying from years back..."only a fool pays retail"...and so it is... Ill do the research and set up 2 or 3 places to get what it is im looking for then play each of against the other...There mad for ya business out there (the indipendants that is), high street names wont move, there hands are tied, but its still nice watching them push for the sale when your holding all the aces...Am I being mean?...
...Cos we really need sunscreen in this mad heatwave were having...... Otherwise, good advice, specially the bit about not knowing what you want to do with your life... Im 52 and have reached the point where i need to get out of my line of work...What to do next?....DUNNO!... So its timely hearing this again after such a long while...
On a light note, a while back when i was "the other guy", I put my dogs up as main pic...damn them, they got as many hits from women as i did... Should have called the site "Connecting Spaniels"...
Dont let it dampen your spirits...... I pic'ed when i was looking, but thought no need if im here to just flap my gums... True some are shy, but some do have a genuine reason for remaining in the shadows... Id say, read them, listen to what they have to say and make your play based on how they read on the page... Oddly, ive had as much interest as a shadow as i did a picture, and i can only put that down to what ive said in my posts... There really is more than looks in this life...But Im sure you dont need me to tell you that...
I get to decide how i sort the washload... I get to have the "last rolo"!... I get to hold on to the tv remote... I decide when its "time for bed"... I get to put up with my snoring... I get to do my own "feng shui"... I decide when ive had enough to eat... I get to live in a cold room in winter... I get to listen to progressive rock and not bloody C/W music... I get to let my dogs sit on the new sofa... I get to have a left hand drive car... I get to have a recording studio downstairs by the sitting room...
People come here for one thing and sometimes migrate sideways as i did... Started out dating (under another name) and got interested in the forums (in this name)... Guess ill be here till I run out of stuff to say or when the paint peels off the walls...... But yes, there have been some characters and there gone and i dare say missed...
Interesting, are you talking "free broadband" here, excuse me for sounding dim... I moved to Ireland 10 years back and remember hearing talk of something called "wi max", or super wi fi if you will... Is what your talking about here related in any way.... Ireland, so far as i can tell has no free to air (without sec log in) wifi that i know of... Also, can your recommendation work with Linux or opera based devices...
I started out "lookin 4 lurve", but come on, In the real world it doesn't quite work that way... Many of us are "broken" or "works in progress" and its going to take some fixing to be good relationship fodda... But in the meantime im having a ball on the forums, with mixed success... My profile states, "Im here to have my say", and to that end this site is fullfilling my present needs handsomely...
Like thats gonna happen anytime soon, im half thinking of creating a few ghost profiles to chat myself up with... But seriously folks, whats a mailbox?????....
It all began september last year when i wanted to unblock my samsung bound "tough phone"... I contacted the 3 store in ennis and enquired about having this done (having got my o2 phone unbolcked the previous day at the ennis o2 shop free and in a 5 minute time frame)... The 3 store said i would have to contact customer services in orded to get this done... Accordingly i phoned customer services (in india), and was told a charge of 30 euros would be made, I declined at that, but recanted the next day and said i'd go ahead and pay the 30 bucks...Imagine my suprise and utter horror when i was told it would first cost me €315.00 to close my account and then another €30 to unblock the phone... Thats right, its not a typo, €315.00, I told them i didn't want to close the contract, just unblock the phone, They were not for budging, I spoke to there shift manager and had a very polite if forcefull arguement on what i considered to be outlandish practices...He would give no quater, and as such i ended up taking the phone to a guy in limerick who did the job for 25 bucks... The sour taste that this experience has left me with, along with the worst signal and dropped call rate imaginable, does for me at least mean i can in no way recommend the 3 network, its sales advisors or its aftersales team...It has and continues to be a costly thorn in my side... Truely a million miles from the exceptional service i have recieved from o2, though im sure there will be those who beg to differ...
Didn't we cover similar ground last sunday?... 3 are NOT to be trusted (jmho), There going to cop an earfull from me when they call up about contract renewal this month... I got my galaxy as an upgrade with o2 prepay, though I may get it unblocked in a year or so...
Yes indeeed... It was an impulse purchace buying the Galaxy, because i didn't want to lug cameras and media devices around to gigs... What i got was a phone that has made EVERYTHING portable that i used to carry around obsolete... Its a joy to use and now as much a part of my daily itenery as socks and shoes...
And good morning (well, afternoon actually) to you...
Happiness is...
My kids, my dogs, sunday roast (cooking now!), a hot shower, summer rain, a clean house, being allowed to do my work without interferance, a short beer after a long day, real italian gnocci, mature cheddar cheese, mint flavoured ice cream, 70s progressive rock music, old english classic cars, being out on a boat, flying in helecopters, swimming in the sea, and finally, finding someone who appreciates some of the above...But thats a pretty big ask... ...
How easily would we re-adjust to "landline" telephones, letter writing and "going out to meet people"... A daunting thought that as little as 15 years ago that was the norm... Think about this...How many phone numbers can you recall from memory?... I used to remember 15 or more at the drop of a hat, now its more like 2 or 3...Nuff said!...
Septic Tank Charges....More Stealth tax....
