there's actually talk of them going for Zaha (same position as Walcott), Walcott might re-sign but then again you know their recent record of losing high profile players... I'd happily take him (think he could be good down the middle, like he wants), we'll know more come January, he could even end up going abroad...
between Sunderland and Villa he has an average of a goal every two games. 20 from 47 at Villa i wouldn't exactly call a fail... anyway like i said i'm more thinking just as backup - because like you said it will be very hard to get players in Jan with the money we have. if Suarez got injured/(banned) i'd rather have Bent than Borini (who's injured at the moment anyway)
they still both should be tackled... both are important... re. drinking i'm not sure drilling dangers of alcohol into kids at school would help much tbh - you know what kids are like - tell them not to do something and they'll do it. i think it's adults in general and parents that need to get the message. kids mimic what they see older people doing, if they see adults behaving in a more responsible manner this will make alot of them think twice and slowly change attitudes towards drink. just my two cents

theyre both legitimate problems. education on both is needed. if anything i think alot more money has been spent on alcohol awareness (advertising campaigns, etc.) compared to healthy eating in this country. There's no point pitting the two issues against eachother, though, theyre both legitimate concerns in their own right, and need to be tackled. they both essentially deal with the same issue - health and lifestyle choices and the possible consequences...

why dont you set up a thread about the cost of alcohol on the state. as well threads for all the many other things that cost the state, you know, just to be thorough, so no one can accuse you of bias...

If you want to buy shower cream "with essence of avocado and turnip skin" and shampoo "with cocunut and lemon zest" (for a sparkling shimmer), fine, just don't think you're buying them for "the both of us".
