What peaceful world?

RE: Now it is safe to say that i dislike republican policies more than other policies...

Based on the condition and the conduct of your country, isn't a extreme ideology what you need? :p

Extreme ideology does not have to be anything special except far away from the current.

God or no God

Thank you - I am wondering however, why we need science to tell us that what we believe, we believe for a reason - we have absolutely no clue, so we invent something instead. That is why it is called believing and not knowing. I really find that absurd, as well as dishonest, but I can see how it helps people with ego problems, by just "knowing" things anyway.

God or no God

Belief is "just knowing" things. That we are not alone, that things happen for a reason, that we have a super entity who created us - sometimes interfering, sometimes not.

The entire claim based on a belief is ridiculous and absurd based on the nature of belief, hope and opinion, accompanied by excuses, justification etc etc.

To put it in a example - our universe appears to be so big that it is becoming more and more difficult to exclude the possibility of life outside our solar system. This has resulted in cults and what is worse, who belief the moon is a spaceship called Lilyth, and that just outside our atmosphere a war is going on between the evil faction and the good faction who is fighting for chaos and order. And that us humans are special children for them.

To you this probably sounds ridiculous as well, but it is a belief, and relating and acting on behalf of things we "just know", whatever it may be, is really only robbing us for the rational truth (the truth may not be so full of adrenaline melancholy or sentimentality).

Either way, my intention is not to attack a personal belief, but to aim the flashlight at belief in itself. Has really not to much to do with knowledge or experience from a long life.

God or no God

Would love that :D

The future

Ps. Apology to the sms/ facebook generation laugh

The future

This dysfunctional part is currently the strongest international regulation entity, as well as for individuals and their most intimate parts of their life. This is what has been unchanged since the missing link started to make spoons, eating bowls and various tools. One may in that case wonder if it is good or not that our tools and toys becomes increasingly powerful, through a science that does nothing about the real problem. If anything, it makes competing groups or nations increasingly dangerous. This dysfunction is hard to examine, because one of its mechanism of self defense is to shut down intelligence, and revolving things into what "we just know", aka stupidity.

I would like to mention revolution - Revolutions has been following re-definitions of what is, and looking to the world where a increasing number of individuals and groups are ganging up on the increasingly powerful authorities, the question is becoming increasingly important. But revolutions will never fully be able to provide a solution, because they are mere modifications of a already existing flaw, which inevitably leads to its own destruction. The world history support this with its vast collections of Suppression-Oppression-Implosion or revolution eras, that being the ancient Asian dynasties, the European or the American Empires, tribes, nations and organizations, including those of today. Basically all of them followed or is following the same loop of illusion, whether it is a god or some other fancy epiphany, but in real-time that is eluding the real problem by self delusion. Opposed to revolution which is a modification of a already existing system in its failure, evolution is the complete abandoning of any such existing flaw.

The future

Looking at the future is a interesting subject. It carries our hopes, dreams and promises. Apart from holding our hopes and dreams, our promises of something better or worse , we inevitably becomes a part of the close part of it, in actuality, as it transmute into becoming the past, through the present. This has happened since dawn of time, whether we are talking the human history, or more. If one look rationally at what the future is, we will also quickly realize that the future is the past, modified through the presence. The future will be what the past has been, modified by the presence. And with that in mind, we can look at the future in perhaps a different way than discussing and quarreling about beleifs, opinions, hopes and dreams, and by avoiding excuses and justification based on their destructive nature, we can perhaps ask some serious questions.

I am suggesting that if we follow the same pattern as we have followed the last 4000 years and still follow, the next 4000 years technology may lead our future into the stars, although during the last 4000 years, that road has been soaked in blood. Our blood. This is not my imagination or my wish, this is a fact. As the concentration of energy and power intensify, the difference in consequences of our stupidity, will moved from being local and global to stellar.

We all try to create a better place, but it does not matter where the utopian system comes from, whether it comes from personal beliefs, religion, political ideologies or science, if it is made out of compassion or cynisism. We have basically preached this and attempted it, and we are still doing it, through thousands of years (it becomes ridiculous in the end to think about), and we have used it and we are using it to create one abomination after the other, and we have taken it in some real absurd directions. Beyond belief, hope and opinion with their projection of time, in the factual and actual world we live in, we are operated by envy, fear, desire and the occasional act of love. The regular misundertanding is to believe in a illusion, then acting to make it real, or avoid making it real. A nice car, a wreck, a piece of cloth made out of a nice fabric, a way of life, god, hell and all that, is in one way quite similar, and "what" then "how" becomes one of the root questions for all of us.

What now, is usually based on a opinion about what is. To move from one thing to another, you have a idea what you are moving from and what you are moving to. Accurate or completely in the dark. What is, or the latin word "truth" carry meanings like endless, timeless, limitless, both everything and no things. Based on the capacity of human perception and understanding, the inevitable limitation becomes devestatingly clear and establish the role and nature of opinion and belief, and expose a serious flaw in our management, not attached to evil, hell, a ugly car or a group who has a untrue god or untrue political ideology, but attached to a dysfunctional part of the human as a whole.

As one seek one thing to get or become, or avoid the other, a dysfunction in the mind is created and usually perpetuated, and that is usually the outcome of "what now". "what now" can be done the right way or the wrong way, and that is basically the quest of all the ruling forms we've had, religion, politics and science etc. We don't need to argue to see the results of all three through history, and by doing that you sort of get a understanding that we may sometimes ask ourselves the questions the wrong way, which can never provide the right answers.

God or no God

you are asking the wrong questions

RE: A Greek Tragedy,,,,,Thermopyle Again,But Leonidas Dead.....

Because I would assume that a real soldier of virtue would not waste his/ her time focusing the energy at the wrong place.

RE: A Greek Tragedy,,,,,Thermopyle Again,But Leonidas Dead.....

So what is immigration? a cause or a effect? As a cause it is the problem, as effect, it is the symptom

RE: A Greek Tragedy,,,,,Thermopyle Again,But Leonidas Dead.....

I lived in Greece from 2008 to July this year, the common thing you saw in media that period on your subject was cherry picked as well.

God or no God

Can you explain what kind of God you are referring to?

God or no God

Noone will be able to tell you anything in this matter. Many has tried, through religion, politics, science, philosophy etc etc. It does matter, because as soon as you take the bait, that is what you are limited to.
It is much like developing a talent, and how you ruin a talent.

God or no God

I wonder if people ponder about their own existence, being aware of their consciousness. If one is aware, one notice that we are not our bodies, we have a center of the consciousness, made of knowledge, experience and memory which is the "I". Being aware of the "I", you will notice that it is not alive like the body, or a flower, but it is a mechanical loop if thoughts, ideas and images that gets frequently adjusted according to various factors. Even if its not alive in that sense, its not dead either. This is a important fact. May just be a coincidence, but more often than not, the entity share these very characteristic, which also is anti religious.

That being said, it is not a big surprise how God is presented, with all his beauty, all his might and love, considering peoples interpretation of our amazing world, our spiritual potential through love and wisdom, (our women :D) etc etc.

God or no God

For those who missed it, the entire universe is made up by a ground material: Matter. Nuclear fusion is more than half a century ago. Everything is Matter, the code of the structure, like genes vary, obviously. Regarding the easily explainable "soul", you can see what the ancient philosophers has been on to, and that they were having a clue.

God or no God

I think it can be rationally explained by the quantum physicists who already established that energy cannot be destroyed, it relocates.
The physical death of our organism pretty much explain its own cycle, but another scientific question in regards to the intangible energy of the consciousness.

God or no God

I question the entity because the religious books I've read are clear about that religion cannot come from outside spiritual authority.
So I end up questioning belief itself. While useful in some areas, its can be really destructive in other. It is not only religious believes, but all believes we have.

Behind belief, a rational examination can be approached. What many people do if you ask about believes, is to explain the rational in a irrational way, and fill the gaps with suitable ideas, transforming mentally the idea into a fact, which then become a truth. And evidently, by looking at whats going on in the world, I'd say some of the ideas on high levels are quite .... imaginative.
This is universal for humans. We all operate by these mistakes. But in the wrong place, at the wrong time, this can really lead to serious destruction.

I see many old religious books and scripts warn about this, and shows examples and results of the right way of doing it, and the wrong way. And you can easily see this in society, its not hard to be a prophet in these matters.

God or no God

You mean as long as we believe he created the entire universe, it is not useful to ask questions about it?

I do think words like endless, eternal, limitless, always, forever induces the feeling of enough, which leads to satisfaction, yes.

God or no God

You mean, that's it?

God or no God

You were telling what Allah/ God is.

God or no God

Can you be more specific about the entity?

God or no God

So your opinions and believes is that Allah/ God is exactly what?

RE: The world without me

Which, by the way, go for the mass cynicism it induces as well.

RE: The world without me

Not sure contemplating death, which is also life, is a morbid thing. Could actually be quite the opposite, unless bitten by this mass hysteria death induces in people.

RE: IF HE LOVED ME; WOULD HE STOP DRINKING??????

Perhaps working with him in a different way would solve it. Nothing is impossible, the difficulty level of a task is usually determined by the method applied.

And I'm not sure how I feel about the votes (I didn't vote) where you are basically encouraged to walk away. I guess your question whether to stay or leave is "why" - if you stay, don't ask for it to be easy, ask for it to be worth it.

RE: fear of death

I have heard that liars, thieves and killers are afraid of contemplating death, both biological and intellectual death. Not really sure though, because I do it all the time laugh who is the bad'est?? :D lol

Minimum wage positive or negative?

I'm not sure "where" matters. It is true that we do not have free market anywhere, and this is a problem - if we did, and even now, we don't "need" minimum wages to have order in the economy of salaries. They don't create order, they create disorder, I think you have confused how it works (and this confusion is one of the reasons why the financial system we currently see is perpetuating so easily)

Now, it is different to be a public servant - I could imagine having such job, because I would at some point like to serve the public (the public, not the government) - it would give a low salary, but it is more the sense of a personal responsibility to the world and humans, not that I want to get rich fast.

As Galactic accurately gives us the truth about labor being a commodity in a free market, the market is also based on supply and demand.
This would naturally regulate the need for workers, and their salary - many workers, low salary, not to many workers, higher salary. It would be a tremendous boost to the incentive to avoid being mentally static from age 20 to [end of life] which realization is probably one of the best things that could happen to people.

Minimum wage positive or negative?

I'm not sure there is a risk involved with jobs (except hanging outside a 10 floor building and similar kinds of danger). There definitely is risk involved in your knowledge, and you are the only one in the world responsible for it.

If people give up their freedom, not only liberty for security, then may they be unsatisfied with their life to the degree they go rampant in the street for being handed more money?

Minimum wage positive or negative?

It is beneficial to see the key to wealth, and that is wisdom - it always seem to come first - if it doesn't, the wealth is a easy come easy go kind of incidence, not the perpetuated abundance received from being wise. Keep in mind that everything is system, and the economical and financial system is just that, perhaps just a little bit advanced one wink

In that case, all you need in the start is a library card, and the choice seem to be to not only get it, but taking advantage of it. This, however, is not a easy choice, there are at least 157 good reasons in the moment why you SHOULD NOT read a book beer
