stringman: there is one thing i don't understand about everyone blaming God for the evil in the world. are people forgeting that there is the devil also.God had cast him out heaven down to earth to do his evil. God said to the inhabitants of earth as he cast out the devil woe to the inhabitants of earth.as i see it the devil is winning so far.try living by the ten comandments, not that easy is it. just my thought on it.
The 10 commandments .... IMO, the first 4 are controlling words of religious mumbo jumbo, the rest are fine, just common sense for a society to coexist peacefully.

You can’t blame God for the evil in this world. Has not mankind progressed enough to stop evil. Evil is done by man (rarely women – that was a joke) and man is wicked – not God. Don’t blame God for the wickedness of man.

JameelK: I'm not sure.. i go through periods of beleiving and then i get so angry with 'god' for such a evil world and turning a blind eye. that i choose to not follow anything.. i guess i'm having a crisis of faith ..lol but i guess in the end i believe in something.. evolution doesnt make sense to me. god maybe an alien race or something, but there has to be something.. i think.. lol
I think religion has it uses if you dont take it to extremes.. pick the bits that make you a better person.. i mean living your life by the 10 commandments for instance cant be a bad thing.. but again.. to many people use it to hurt.. instead of to love.

I kinda disagree with the right and wrong elements of this arguement also the perfection bit: As right and wrong is inclined to change and we are still in the evolutionary process.
I do believe in a God as the name/word implies 'Supreme Being'[literal meaning] and that by reason of logic,spirit,reality must be true. Now wether God is Human like or virus type I really can't say but must exist.

I know what you say is right.. but i just wish there was more good.. its hard to see it sometimes. maybe its just my issues that stop me seeing, at the moment.
