The new mailbox design- awful!

Yes, you're right grin
This is the "site suggestions & feedback" category, though, and I wondered if anyone else had similar feedback- perhaps the lovely folks who make CS happen might even do some more tweaking if the new design isn't much liked. Isn't that what feedback is for? dunno

The new mailbox design- awful!

The photos seem smaller too- hard to see wow

The new mailbox design- awful!

Anyone else hate the new mailbox design?
I think it's hard to read, annoyingly set out and the new colours are awful.
Also, the "you have mail" red square is staying highlighted even when all mail opened.
barf to the new design!
Please bring back the old one!

RE: What does a Kiwi need to know if crossing the ditch lol

I lived in Sydney for 5 years in my 20s and loved every minute of it- you'll have a fabulous time!
I lived all around the inner west- Glebe, Annandale, St Peters, Newtown, Erskineville and those areas would still be my pick. Great cafes, markets, transport, parks, walks, events, shops, theatres, pubs, and a surprisingly high community spirit. There is a huge assortment of food from all cultures, lots of live music, and to be honest I usually felt pretty safe, walking around on my own or with friends.

There's usually not much furnished accomodation, so you'll probably need to buy a few things- like a bed! But who knows, you may find something furnished.

Your plan sounds great to me- hope you have a ball!

RE: New and improved question for women (no age limit)

I think your question is a little too open- women are looking for all sorts of different qualities and traits, and I'm sure you have some ideas what you're looking for in a partner too.
You sound like you are tolerant, interesting, creative, and have direction in your life- those are appealing traits. cheering

When it comes to sport, some will love it and some won't- I'd be no good to you, not my thing at all.
Good luck!

RE: would you get or have you got a tatoo

I have one, and am really happy with it. It is very personal and unique, not on public view, and has meaning for me.
I wouldn't rule out another, but these days have more responsible things to throw my $ at.
There is a world of difference between well done, well placed and personal tattoos and some of the horrible messes out there. Lumping them all together is too much of a generalisation to me.

RE: Man drought inflating middle aged mens ego

Not me either. I was the one with a job, car & mortgage going in, that is what I left with. Oh and the $23 a week child support for the first 4 years- with long gaps of no payment. Love to see anyone raise a toddler on that tongue

RE: Does Playing Hard To Get Really Work?

I think there's a bit of danger labelling someone hard to get. Lots of people are shy and like to for a friendship and feel respected as a person before they jump right in with both feet. As star said, taking things slow can be importsnt, especially with little kids. You don't want to introduce them to someone you aren't sure of hug

RE: Oh Ladies!!!

This is in single parents- are you looking for a mummy or daddy? laugh

RE: cooking shows

Cooking is bad enough, watching other people do it is dull beyond belief. Having said that, Heston Blumenthal is a bit of an exception. Yay SBS, I love science based documentaries and like the world news.
We also like "Letters and Numbers" on SBS, where you race the clock to find anagrams and do maths puzzles.

We are nerds laugh tongue

RE: The biggest turn-off

hug
Sorry for the confusion guys, yeah Movember is a fundraiser and I think its a great idea. I didn't mean to insult anyone re the moustache comment, just a personal preference, like long or short hair I guess.wine

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Night all yawn

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

You might want to start in a southern state... and bypass the desert laugh
Oh and sunscreen- get LOTS!

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Even with daylight savings. We like the curtains faded laugh

I used to sleep well in the day, but I had worked all night. Or been out on the town wine

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Yikes. Too much sun for me. I like the dark!!

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Yes, and daylight savings is a waste of time in QLD

Fades the curtains grin

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Yep, I could understand it if they were communicating with me, but I guess maybe they are the scammers come back for another look? For example there is one from Latvia, 67, no emails or flowers in his own name, not on forums, but has viewed my profile 5 times in 3 weeks dunno Seems really odd to me- and he's not the only one. I'll have a metaphorical drink with nearly anyone, but this is just odd.

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

Not ranting at anyone here, just the oddbods out there in CS land have me bewildered. confused

Do you sometimes look at your WVM list and think REALLY?? YOU AGAIN??

It just makes me wonder, why are you back here? I didn't fall for your scam, my age range is 20 years under what you say you are, and you are literally the other side of the world. Why come back to view me again this week? sigh

RE: Diffrant names in other staes.

Tassie people seem to like curried scallops- and wait, it gets weirder- in PIES.
Nope, not gonna try that. What a cruel way to treat yummy scallops.

RE: What you miss now you are single?

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing cheering

RE: A guys opinion on single mothers?

thumbs up
Very wise words, cheers.
As a single Mum, it is all about taking things slowly, keeping communication open, and being willing to compromise. hug

RE: The next word.

Oh sorry blushing I'll just back out and close the door, let you two ...
laugh rolling on the floor laughing wow wow

RE: I can't believe it

I was watching the ANZAC Day coverage and looking at the photos of the 18 and 19 year old boys who went off to war and never came home. I realised that if I'd been alive then, the age I am now, one of those boys might have been my son.
It was a strange feeling, to realise I'm old enough to potentially be the parent of an adult. On previous ANZAC Days, it never really hit home, and it seems a short time since I was thinking "those poor boys were MY age!"- but that was 20 years ago.
That was my WTF moment this year!

RE: Male Mid-Life Crisis Challenge

G'Day Billy, hope you read this I'm a bit late to the thread.
Here is one idea if you want to work while you are travelling, my brother & sis-in-law did this in Europe and had an awesome time. Look up WWOOF International, it means Willing Workers On Organic Farms, basically you go to stay on someone's farm, they give you board & lodging and you work in exchange. You learn heaps and get to meet some great people, you can also have a say where you go & how long for.
Good luck mate, hope you go for it!

RE: Diffrant names in other staes.

Oh yeah. I call those shoes trainers, but that might be a UK thing, not sure its Aussie at all...

Down here, they call reverse cycle air-cons "heat pumps"- I guess they just get used for heating in winter laugh

RE: Diffrant names in other staes.

Togs! I knew I forgot one. SA maybe?

RE: Diffrant names in other staes.

And in Tassie (well, the north) it is a fruit box.

There is the old swimmers/bathers/cozzies one.

In Vic the word castle rhymes with hassle, in NSW it's caR-stle.

RE: Love Child

Yep Ralf and Shell I'm in the same boat, although getting past the danger age now- I'm 38 and REALLY not keen to do nappies, sleep deprivation, teething and bed wetting all over again. I'll help raise someone's kids, make a combined family- sure- but starting over from newborn? Yikes. It would probably kill me now laugh

RE: First thing that attracts you to someone

??
Who knows, if that's what you want.

I never said my attraction is to the straightest/whitest teeth or whatever. Just that the mouth is what catches my attention, like the eyes do for some people.
