RE: Official Male Appreciation Thread.............

There are quite a few men that I know that have wonderful qualities. I hate to throw them all into a lump like this, but it describes them all...

Honest and forthright, Protective, Sincere, Noble, Brave, Generous and/or unselfish, Supportive, Hard working, Skillful, Strong, Unselfconscious, Willing to sacrifice for the sake of others, Will walk away from a fight instead of continue it until someone gets hurt, Smart, Funny, Sweet, Always know the right thing to say, Love us women no matter how flawed we are - they know we aren't perfect sometimes it's just that we are perfect for that particular one.


There are a few of these qualities in several of the men on this site that I do or have conversed with on a regular basis. I won't name any names for fear of leaving someone out by mistake. I'm sure they will know who they are.

Well you have to remember also that he's in New Jersey...New Jersey has the largest chemical processing plants in the US. If he's been there for the last 20+ years he may have been inhaling all those chemicals all those years and they have warped his brain permanently

Ummmmm I don't know where you've been but Cavaricci's are still around, in fact I have a pair on as I sit here typing Jordache and Gloria Vanderbilts are back on the racks too Although you'll never see me in a pair of Chic or Gitano's ever again

Geeez Goose.....See what you did to me! Next I'll be chewing bubble yum blowing big huge bubbles and making that loud cracking sound with it, and buying Aqua Net hairspray by the case and using a can a day on my hair along with the curling iron!

Personally I love the ad I think it's great!!!!!

I only have one issue...I don't like any one of the candidates. One is just as much of a back-stabbing, whinning, cry baby, no good for nothing, slithering snake in the grass as the other!!!!!

I think Ol' Jack should be running instead and wipe them all out!

I remember that day even though it was 2 years ago it's still fresh in my mind. The thing that I kept in mind is that I would just be me and either people will love me or hate me just like they do outside of cyberspace. I never let the turkey's get me down.

This may sound kind of selfish, but...

The most important relationship is the one I have with myself and my Higher Power. If I'm going to change it's for self improvement, not because someone else wants me to. I will compromise, but not at the expense of my values beliefs or me as a person. I don't expect a person to change in order to suit me, we either accept each other as we are or not, and if not there can be no relationship. I will however point out to the person I am in the relationship with if it's not going to work, why it's not going to work for me. I don't want someone that is going to compromise themselves for me either. If we keep our expectations low or out of the picture all together, we aren't disappointed. Accept ourselves for who we are and accept others for who they are. All will be well
