I have to say my mom did the best she could with what she had at the time. She taught me how to laugh, how to love and how to let go. Anything she ever said to me was either a lesson learned or knowledge and wisdom gained. She told me a long time ago "You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it!" Those words will always stay with me because no matter what happens or when things get rough, I know that I can get through them if I put my mind to it and figure things out and put goals in place.
Don't get me wrong, she and I have had our disagreements as well as our differences and our times of not speaking to each other, but no matter what I love her dearly and always will.
I didn't read this entire thread, but I believe that if Obama wins, then there will be more of a split in America than ever before. I think we all know that history tends to repeat itself, unfortunately I think if Obama gets elected as President that the riots are going to start all over again even if he's against it. Not to mention that if that happens with the Patriot Act in place and being as it stands then Obama could declare policed states.
I don't know how many are actually aware of the fact that Bush had it put into place that the President can declare policed states if anything were to happen.
I'd like to think that none of these things would be an issue, but I don't see how they wouldn't be. I give credit where credit is due and I commend Obama for his vision, creativity and his wanting to change things, but I don't see it happening since there are way too many hurdles and hoops he's going to have to jump through, over and climb.
I would hate to see any of the aforementioned things happen, but it seems to be too much of a reality.
Thank you My mom is heading to bed and she's going to see my Aunt tomorrow. I'm a little frustrated because I can't do anything right now...Being powerless over the situation sucks. I'll find out more tomorrow though.
There's no sun yet, but the coffee is wonderful...They always say the early bird gets the worm...There may be a theory behind that, I may have to investigate it further
Having the choice to be happy or not is a beautiful thing. I enjoy being happy and with that comes a lot of gratitude. Each day no matter what happens I always have at least 3 things to be grateful for and that alway seems to put a smile on my face
It's a beautiful day with lots to do and fabulous thoughts to keep me smiling all day long I'm never awake this early unless I've been up all night But duty calls
Life in general...It's about taking care of the addictions first and foremost, then everything else tends to fall in place. It's a matter of mind set. If we become happier due to truly experiencing life we start to see small changes in what's around us.
