Try talking to him again about how you feel. If he will not change or set boundaries for the girls. Not much you can do. I myself am not the fun parent. My boys are expected to do chores and be home by a certain time. As long as the girls know you love them, I do not believe they will "lean" either way. yes, children do come first, but I would never go back to my ex for the kids. If the kids what to see their father, let them go..As for yourself, just tell him to go to hell.
I knew it was time to end my marriage the day I laughed. My kids and I were out making stupid movies with our digital camera. We were having so much fun, I busted out laughing. One of my boys asked me "What is wrong with you mom." I questioned if it was against the law to laugh. His answer, "No, just never seen you laugh before." I packed my kids in my car our clothes and my little fat dog too, and escaped. I did not tell him I was leaving that day. Course we still live in the same state.

I agree with you cat. A security for me. It took me 2 years to get the courage to walk out that door.Also, I did not want to hurt the children, knowing they were old enough to pick thier own parent. Truth be told, I had a harder time leaving my horses,chickens, ducks and goats.
