I hear you there, I work nights, so I dare not watch anything scary before I have to walk out to the car. Otherwise, I would have to make the boys walk with me, lock all the doors and drive to work like a bat outta hell.
We are all getting older, time will not stop for anyone. If you do not seek to live in the present, your future does not look very bright. I myself am improving. 3 months ago I could not walk down the same side walk as a male, and look at them. I can now, I can smile and say hi. Time heals all wounds, if we let it. Every one has baggage, is it not part of who we are today? To let the past ruin our lives is foolish. I for one prefer to look ahead to see what is coming at me, not waste my time with what happened in the past.
only one, Laser eyeballs, I always thought it looked cool to see some one burn doors into walls and stuff. I could never lock myself out of the house again.
For me it would have to be travel, I would love to go all over the world and see many things. What I really hope to see some day is a whale, a great big whale swimming in the ocean.
I have wondered this myself. Sometimes, I think I have it all figured out, then some one says something that makes me change my mind. But then again how we see ourselves in the mirror,is not always how others see us.
I cannot stand perfect people either. As far as "poor me" attitude, we all suffer from that from time to time.It is all part of healing, I think. If one cannot feel sympathy for those that we like here, what kind of friend can we be? I think the forums here are more than just finding a date. Many come here just to talk, vent and try to understand why would someone do that to me. I personally was in an abusive marriage. If my imput can make just one person feel good about themselves today, then I will be happy.
Easy to find dates, I do not think so. But it is a great place to come and meet people you like to talk to. Now be honest, you know you are picky... I do not believe you look at some gal and think "oh , my God, Look at the hams on that one,"or "A face only a mother could love." and then ask her out.
