Iam 40 and proud of it. I dont behave or look like a stereotype "40" my peer group of friends are mid twenties to mid thirties and have had girlfriends younger then me in the past and I certainly was not a father figure.
i will continue to accept dating opportunities from women younger than me if we suit. I do not get on with equal to or older than me. I have never married or have had the opportunity for children and most women in this age group have a lot of baggage that I dont have in common with them in life experiences.
Raise the legal year one year at a time to phase it in. Over 7 years you have the 25 it at 25 no current drinkers effected. I am sure the taxman has many ways to recoup the so called lost revenue. My original point was to have this as solely a public drinking law as opposed to drinking wine with a meal in a restaurant or at home.
I agree with the health service prioritising help away from people who have damaged themselves due to smoking. Once word gets around that you are put down the queue due to the habit that has health warnings stamped all over it you will see the smoing culture change.
Smoking was fashionable when I was younger but is extremely unfashionable amongst my same peers.
The governments earn so much money out of the legalised drug industry that it cant be stopped entirely.

Ref Football hooligans I would take away all innocent people and property and lock them in a room to get on with it. My guess is they would resolve it themselves. If they got hurt , more fool them for going in the room.
We all have choices to make in life and if we make the wrong one then we deserve the consequences.
More monies should be made available to find reputable staff for youth clubs and opening schools in the out of school hours to give people safe contructive places to spend time in. This money can come from many areas (lottery e.t.c)
Raising the legal age of drinking to 25 will make it harder for teenagers to drink without it being noticed. Encourage sensible ethics at home, teaching in situ, as alot of people donot know any better than to copy off peers and parents.

I lived in the UK for 35 years before moving to Costa del Sol Spain. Its the equivalent as moving away from the grey UK to the sunshine for over 300 days a year is awsome.
Itmakes me feel more positive and motivated.
Of course I miss "Home" I´m Welsh and very proud of it. Therefore when I visit I look forward to seing family and friends and appreciate the mountains and little things more than when I lived there. Once there , however I am reminded why I made my decision and begin to look forward to returning to Spain and my creature comforts.
It is so cheap nowadays to commute and nowhere in the relocate rule book does it say that you are never to return enjoy your time there.
PS I ultimately wish to relocate to Canada. I spent a lot of time there in 1986 and traveled all over. Nanaimo on Vancouver Island was the place I stayed longest regularly visiting Vancouver for the World Expo. However all over the people were so genuinely nice it was a huge culture shock. Speaking to a uknown lady for just 10 mins resulted in her phoning her sister in Medicine Hat to meet me off the bus and have dinner and sleep over????? Needless to say I was very young and foolishly didnt accept the kind offer. Unfortunately Nova Scotia didnt do it for me what a reverse in people. I am not fluent French, and I tried, people who could speak better English than my French would not help me with basic directional questions. So when I make my millions or can get gainful employment in Canada, I will return.
You can feel in depth urges but true love is about two people feeling the same way not one. One is infatuation with someone.
How can it be possible to be realistic without learning the things you love to hate about someone e.g squeezing the toothpaste tube from the wrong end? It may be annoying but once they have gone and not with you anymore, you have nothing to remind you in the morning and miss them...
I know of people years ago that used to use chat rooms to get chatted up using different pictures to themselves and exaggarated the details. You could tell if you were intuitive enough. However I heard some sad stories from desparately lonely people meeting a "Tall long legged blonde" to see someone who was 5ft 2 overweight with dark hair and in reverse a lonely lady met up ,against all advice ,to see her tall dark handsome man appear bald, again overweight,dirty, and easily 10 years older than he professed. These people spent months talking and exchanging before this happened. It is sad and also has very sinister implications so no surprise they closed the chat rooms down.
Regular upgrading and exchange of pictures helps prevent this.
If I was to start to get to know someone on here and liked the initial contact I would want to meet them sooner than later, in a public place to consolidate my interest. I would not want to waste weeks or months of cyber chat , life is too short.
You are indeed entitled to your views and yes the end of November is to close to Xmas for me hence regretfully wont be able to go. However for a lot of people between now and November end , there may not be anything going on. Between now and when you suggest dates for your get together, there is a lot going on and expense in particular for me to go to and time out from work with no income. I am also not the only one and I do not have children.

I live in the sun and near the beach. I can get to the Sierra Nevada for sking in the morning and be on a beach in the afternoon here. My quality of life is superb.

I know of a guy who dresses down for work gets a pound off people at liverpool st station. Imagine yourself how many thousands of people flying through everyday and a small percentage pay you the token pound. Needless to say he makes several hundreds of ponds a day and no surprise he drives home to a detached house in a brand new german convertable sports car.
More fool the people who give in the first place and good luck to him. The UK is a social state that provides for ,for seriously skint and unhealthy people so no need to give extra.
If nobody gave extras in a social state like the UK the alleged homeless would drop down to realistic levels and people like the above would have no choice other than get real job.
Dont get me wrong if someone is hungary I will buy them a meal but never will I give cash. Cash donations are taken from my salary to reputable charities of my choice (mainly Cudeca, children,animals and 3rd world) so I think I do my bit.
I am fortunate to have many platonic female friends. We have on cccasions shared sleeping in same bed. Neither of them or me have any physical attraction with each other and hence it works. Its actually better being cuched up all night than sleeping alone.
Sorry Wedward but cant afford to go to Austria just after the xmas holidays especially in ski season there mega flight prices. After the most expensive time of year and compulsory holidays I will be looking forward to earning again. I am self employed and the nature of my work means I dont get holiday pay. ( Not after violins here by the way).
While there a few people who I would like to continue stimulated intelligent conversation with face to face , there are also people who I particularly wouldnt want to meet and the same applies in reverse of course.
To co ordinate a collective meeting of posters on here from all over the world is not an enviable task. I suggest that we all look to hold our own local ones on a regular bases and leave an open invitation to those who may be in a position to attend from outside. The outcome and pictures can then be posted in the relevant forum for the rest to indulge in at their leisure.

I would like to meet the people who I have engaged in conversation outside of the forums because the level of intellegent and engaged conversation has been so intense that it would be good to indulge in burning the midnight oil with some vino and come up with the meaning of life....
All the mistakes you make and learn from you can really go back and fix them.
Plus I will get the results of the lottery and go back and win lots of money to spread to all the charities in the world and pay off the 3rd world debts. I would want to be a huge positive influence in the world without being a control freak.
I suffer from Dyslexia and have to re read every thing and still miss out on something. I use spell check as well but that misses the odd word and grammer too.
I will say though that my grasp on writing the English language is not anyway near a reflection on my intellectual ability.
It is a bit daunting having all these English teachers analysing your posts and emails . I have complete empathy with what you teachers mean though as I did pschology at uni and by default unwrap and read between the lines of people.
Personaly any tips and hints I receive wont put me off the forums.
By the way and a typical example The forum said what do you hate most.
Hate is a strong word ,however I read the topic and by the time I add my post the subject has changed to something completely different and my post looks ike I am not folowing the thread.
As English is the main spoken medium here hardly a justified remark.
I agree with Jans advice irrespective of pedantic country inaccuracies, places such as former Soviet republics, Eastern Europe, and Asia and Africa are renowned for women trying to book passage away to the first person that can afford to bail them out.They actually try to focus on lonely USA men mainly.

I was on another website and gave my accurate earnings and was inundated by young women professing undyinglove in their introduction email. I removed this information and the introduction emails reduced dramatically in that manner.
We all live in the same world and stunningly beautiful women will get away from these countries and culturs and head to the romantic media induced west. Once in your country they are surronded by equaly attractive men and women and get the attention. so if intentions are not true then in time they will go to someone who they are genuinely attracted to as opposed to the poor soul who helped them along in life. I hope that this doesnt happen in your case.
